A system 100 for processing three dimensional (3D) distribution image of a radiation source and a processing method using the same are provided. The system includes an image measuring unit 110 which comprises a plurality of position sensitive detectors to measure the radiation source, the plurality of position sensitive detectors each having a devoted channel set therefore, and being arranged in a circularly fashion around the radiation source, a signal amplifying unit 120 which receives signals indicative of energy magnitude and location of the radiation source from the image measuring unit and amplifies the received signals into an electric signal, a mode selecting unit 125 which receives the electric signal generated at the signal amplifying unit, and selects a detection mode according to the energy magnitude and the location and outputs a corresponding mode signal, a data storage 130 unit which stores the signals indicative of the energy magnitude, time of radiation generation, and location of the radiation source, and the signal received from the mode selecting unit as a series of items, a data converting unit 140 which converts the data stored at the data storage unit into interactive data, an image reconstructing unit 150 which reconstructs the converted data into the 3D distribution image, and a display unit 160 which displays the 3D distribution image received from the reconstructing unit. Depending on the signals, various modes including coincidence mode, single tracking mode of dual gamma ray, coincidence mode/gamma ray tracking mode, and coincidence dual gamma ray tracking mode are implemented to increase efficiency.

A process for producing mesophase pitch from high-temperature coal tar comprises: removing salts and quinoline insoluble fraction from a high-temperature coal tar to obtain a decant oil; using the decant oil as a hydrogenation feedstock, or pre-distilling the decant oil to obtain a residue with a boiling point higher than 230°C and formulating the residue into a hydrogenation feedstock; catalytic hydrorefining the hydrogenation feedstock to obtain a hydrofined oil; distilling the hydrofined oil to obtain hydrogenated pitch; and subjecting the hydrogenated pitch to the thermal polymerization to obtain the mesophase pitch. The process has features such as an easily controllable degree of hydrogenation, complete removal of impurities, good raw material flowability, not tending to form the carbon deposition and the coking during the process, and not tending to jam the reactor. The product has a high content of mesophase pitch, a low softening point and a low impurity content.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of preparing a plate-shaped high- density low-enriched uranium dispersion target including: preparing a uranium alloy powder from a low-enriched uranium raw material including less than 1 wt% of one or more selected from the group consisting of aluminum (Al), silicon (Si), chromium (Cr), iron (Fe), and molybdenum (Mo) by using a centrifugal atomization method; mixing the prepared uranium alloy powder with an Al-Si alloy powder within a range of 40 vol% to 50 vol% to prepare a compact; and rolling the prepared compact.

An apparatus for drop impact absorption of a control rod of a nuclear reactor according to an aspect of the invention includes a fixed frame disposed at an upper side of the core of the nuclear reactor, and a impact absorbing device installed at the fixed frame to reduce the drop impact with respect to a control rod mounted at the lower part during the free drop of the control rod to be inserted into the core of a nuclear reactor.

The demineralized bone matrix produced according to the present invention and the bone morphogenetic protein extracted by using the demineralized bone matrix can be advantageously used in manufacturing bone restorative implants, bone growth accelerating compositions, and/or health aids or supplementary food products.
