The textile product is comprised of a textile material having a primary layer or backing with intumescent particles coated, sprayed, sprinkled, or otherwise applied to the upper surface thereof. Additionally or alternatively, the particles may be incorporated into the tufting primary or backing. The intumescent particles may also be complexed with additional agents, such as antimicrobial agents, softening agents, pliability agent, stain resistant agents, waterproofing agents, static resistance agents and combinations thereof.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for preparing a moisture barrier fabric comprising needling the fabric in a direction substantially opposite to the advance direction of the fabric with barbed needles to increase the density of the fabric by entangling the fibers thereof, open-width washing of the needled facecloth fabric with a detergent and sodium carbonate to further increase fabric density by allowing the fabric to neck down or bulk at a substantially random rate, coating one side of the fabric with at least one coating of a latex formulation for use in forming the backcoating of the moisture barrier fabric, comprising a (meth)acrylic acid urethane copolymer having a curing temperature of approximately 250 to 275 °F, and immersing the dry moisture barrier fabric, including the latex backing, into a bath of fluorochemical and a solution containing about 10 to about 15 wt% polyurethane, and removing excess fluorochemical from the treated fabric.

The apparatus includes a perimeter cutting assembly (50) and retractable inner cutting assembly (40). The perimeter cutting assembly is used to cut the carpet tile and the inner cutting assembly simultaneously forms the discontinuous slits in the inner portion of the carpet tile. The inner cutting assembly can be engaged or disengaged during the carpet tile cutting process. The carpet tile is installed by severing the bridges and laying the border sections (12) on the floor with dissimilar cutouts within the borders to create a visually interesting floor covering.

摘要： A modified bitumen sheet material (12) and method for a protective moisture barrier, particularly for masonry surfaces (42). The sheet material has a bitumen layer (14) modified by the addition of a minor amount of a long-chain polybutadiene-isocyanate urethane polymer and optionally, a modifying amount of hydrocarbon oil to provide stable, non-flow and selected tackified surface properties to the bitumen layer (14). The sheet material (12) includes a releasable casting paper film (16) on one surface of the bitumen layer (14), to be removed prior to use, and a cross-linked polyethylene film (12) bonded to the other outer surface of the bitumen layer (14) as a handling or moisture barrier sheet. The sheet material (12) is prepared by casting the hot, melted bitumen as a layer (14) onto a casting paper sheet (16) and applying the outer film to the exposed bitumen surface to bond to the top surface.
