摘要:
The invention relates to a displacement body, especially a boat or a ship, comprising at least one blow device (12) for the structured placement of a gas between a displacement body and water. Said displacement body also comprises at least one catchment device (14) for at least partially reabsorbing the gas introduced by the blow device (12). The displacement body is characterised in that the catchment device (14) is arranged at a certain distance relative to the blow device (12) such that the structure of the gas introduced by the blow device (12) between the displacement body and water remains essentially the same until the reabsorbtion thereof by the catchment device (14). The invention also relates to a method for reducing friction on displacement bodies, especially on boats or ships.

A water vessel (10) containing a central hump or dome (22) underneath the vessel, with a waterjet system (30) pumping water downward into the hump. The invention utilizes waterjet propulsion and hull shape to create water hump lift. A waterjet system (30) pumps water from the front of the vessel downward into the hump underneath the center of the vessel. This produces lift and reduces the water friction against the water vessel. This also creates a wave or hump of water beneath the vessel, enabling the vessel to ride down the resulting wave. The size and shape of the water hump depends on the velocity and angle of the waterjets. Baffles (42,44) are utilized at the front and sides of the water vessel to direct water away from the vessel, or towards the vessel, as needed to further the efficiency of the system.

A hydrofoil craft, particularly a method of economically modifying a conventional hull with cambered foils to obtain and calculate increased lift from dense spray and to achieve enhanced craft performance is disclosed. The present invention improves speed, fuel efficiency and rough water stability, reduced pitch and vertical accelerations. A catamaran or V-bottom hull (20) is modified with chine mounted aerofoils (32, 33, 28, 28A), flexible dihedral cambered foils positioned beneath the water line and on either side of the bow (30, 31) so as to create turbulence in the forward end of a tunnel(s) (26). Fixed forward tunnel cambered foil(s) (28) and/or fixed or adjustable center tunnel cambered foils at the stern (28A) end of the tunnel (26) to generate lift from pressure caused by dense spray in the tunnel(s) (26) may also be provided.

The present invention relates to a kite-powered vessel (10), comprising: - a deck (12), and - a keel (14),
wherein the keel is connected to the deck via at least one rotary mechanism (30), wherein when seen in front view the keel is rotatable relative to the deck between a left position and a right position about a longitudinal axis (5) and along a path (16) which has a shape of an arc (27) of a circle (29), wherein the longitudinal axis (5) is a center (18) of said circle and is located at a distance (28) from the keel.

A safety buoy (100) for use in a rip current area (35) having a rip current comprises a bow section (110) and a stern section (120). The bow section (110) is streamlined and the stern section (120) has a deck area. The safety buoy (100) is advantageously moored in the rip current area (35) so that the streamlined bow faces generally seaward towards incoming swell conditions, while the deck area at the stern section (120) faces generally shoreward and provides a surface for a distressed bather caught in an outgoing rip current.

A sail unit, characterized in that it comprises two half-shells joined together, which define a double-hull bottom body, comprising a first hull and a second hull joined together by a substantially plane portion, a cockpit with the stem open, and a deck surface, raised with respect to said cockpit (11). The aforesaid bottom body is provided with a slit for the passage of a centreboard. The transom of the aforesaid sail unit is provided with means for fixing a helm. The aforesaid deck surface is provided with a mast step for resting and supporting a mast, as well as fixing points for the standing rigging of said mast.
