    摘要: A variable displacement compressor includes a swash plate (31) and a displacement control valve (46; 88). The swash plate is moved between a maximum inclination position and a minimum inclination position in accordance with the pressure in a crank chamber (15). The control valve changes the crank chamber pressure to change the swash plate inclination. The control valve includes a valve body (52; 96) and an electromagnetic actuator (60, 61, 64; 97) for moving the valve body. Movement of the valve body is controlled according to current supplied to the actuator. The control valve also includes a fluid damper (90, 91; 59, 61) for applying fluid resistance to the valve body. The fluid resistance prevents the valve body from moving too quickly. The fluid damper therefore prevents the crank chamber pressure from being suddenly changed. Also, the fluid damper prevents the swash plate inclination from being suddenly changed. Instead of using the fluid damper, the sudden movement of the valve body may be prevented by controlling current supplied to the electromagnetic actuator.

    摘要: A refrigeration/heating system for cooling or heating an area includes a condenser for removing heat from the system to an external environment, an evaporator for receiving heat from the area to be cooled or delivering heat to the area to be heated, and a compressor for raising the pressure and the temperature of a refrigerant. The compressor has at least one cylinder bank and an unloader connected to the cylinder bank for loading and unloading the cylinder bank. Pressure transducers measure the suction and discharge pressures of the compressor when the state of a cylinder bank is changed from a loaded to an unloaded state. A processor uses the suction and discharge pressures in the various states to determine the operational condition of either unloader. By varying the loading and unloading of a pair of cylinder banks, the processor can also use various suction and discharge pressures to determine if a problem exists within either cylinder bank or unloader.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for generating and supplying high pressurized fuel to a high pressure storage area of a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, whereby fuel is delivered from a tank (2) by means of a low lift pump (6) configured as a fore-pump and supplied to the intake side of a high pressure pump (14). A part of the fuel delivered by the low lift pump is used for lubricating the high pressure pump. In order to lower the temperature level and to increase the overall efficiency of the motor, the method is carried out in such a way that the flow rate of the low lift pump or the delivery pressure on the pressure side of the low lift pump is controlled according to the instantaneously required fuel quantity determined by the transducer and a control device. In addition, a lubrication flowing quantity which is independently constant from pressure on the pressure side is branched from the feeding current of the low lift pump and a residual cutoff current of the high pressure pump intake side is supplied.

    摘要: A positive displacement pump (50) includes a relief valve comprising a valve seat (61), a needle (62) within the valve seat, a spring (63) forcing the needle within the valve seat, a set screw (65) pressing the spring against the needle and a spacer (64) for mounting the set screw to the housing of the positive displacement pump. The valve seat threadably connects within the relief valve passageway to prevent the erosion of the passageway. The valve seat may be constructed from a plastic, hard rubber, or metal material and include a rubberized seal secured at one end of the valve seat. When the valve seat erodes to a point where it provides an insufficient seat for the needle, it is removed from within the relief valve passageway and replaced with a similar valve seat. By protecting the relief valve passageway from erosion by using an inexpensive, removable, and disposable valve seat, costly disposal or machining of the housing of the positive displacement pump is avoided.
