    摘要: A bonding, communication and control system that, via multiple digital and analog inputs and outputs provided by an on-the-go ready microcontroller, is capable of integrating the function of components required for a device to perform its tasks. Each invention unit has the minimum amount of built in hardware to support its features. First the units can bond, using multiple modes of identification recognition technology. Second, invention units can interconnect and exchange data via encrypted communication. Third, plug and play hardware can be added. Hardware can be customized, but also enables the fourth core feature: the invention can pair to a smart device, making possible full utilization of all of its hardware, software and existing infrastructure, including its ability to send data to and from a remote location. Thereby, both real time monitoring and anticipation of environment, and remote control of parameters of invention-associated devices, are possible.

    摘要: Provided are a system and method for identifying planned markers while drilling a borehole. In one example, the method includes obtaining a plan containing planned markers that each corresponds to a baseline marker from an existing well. Each of the baseline markers corresponds to a waveform from a log file obtained from the existing well and is associated with a waveform representation of the corresponding waveform. Each of the planned markers is associated with an estimated true vertical depth (TVD) value. A second log file corresponding to the borehole is obtained that contains waveforms representing formation information detected within the borehole. The second log file is scanned for a planned marker based on the estimated TVD value and the waveform representation of the baseline marker corresponding to the planned marker. At least one match may be identified and reported for the planned marker.

The information processing device repeatedly obtains detected magnetic vectors detected by the magnetic sensor. The information processing device repeatedly estimates a center position of a spherical body having a curved surface which is estimated based on end point positions of the detected magnetic vectors. The attitude of the input unit is calculated based on a direction vector representing a direction from the center position to the end point position of the detected magnetic vector. Each time a detected magnetic vector is obtained, the information processing device updates the center position so that at least some of lengths from the center position to end points of the detected magnetic vectors used for the estimation of the center position are brought closer to an average between the lengths.

    摘要: Systems and methods for identifying prominent landmarks in a geographic area are provided. More particularly, geographic imagery data, such as panoramic images captured by a camera from a perspective at or near ground level, can be analyzed to identify landmarks depicted in the geographic imagery data. For instance, structure-from-motion techniques can be used to generate a point cloud of tracked features that are located a threshold distance away from one or more camera perspectives associated with the geographic imagery data. Landmarks that are visible from multiple camera perspectives and that are visible from greater distances relative to one or more camera perspectives can be identified as prominent landmarks in a geographic area. A geographic information system can use the prominent landmarks for a variety of purposes, such as for use in providing travel directions, for rendering landmarks in an emphasized style, and/or for constructing/displaying a three-dimensional model of the landmark.
