摘要: An image display apparatus and an operation method thereof are disclosed. The image display apparatus includes a nonlinear scaling controller to output a nonlinear scaling factor corresponding to a user's viewing angle in a curved display mode, an image processing unit to perform nonlinear scaling for a received image using the nonlinear scaling factor, and a display to display the nonlinearly scaled image. Consequently, it is possible to provide a curved effect to an image displayed on the display.

摘要: The invention relates to a computer readable medium or media, and to a corresponding system and method, that causes at least one computer to provide on a display device a user interactive electronic area representation of an area comprising a first display and a second display. The first display comprises the area representation and user-selectable information thereon relating to one or more items associated with the area, the information for different items being at different locations on the first display. The computer code, in response to user input to the at least one computer that selects information relating to an item on the first display, causes the at least one computer to provide on the display device the second display which includes additional information relating to the item whose information was selected.

摘要: An electronic correction system and method for correcting optical anomalies, namely distortions, color non-convergence (excluding axial chromatic aberration) and luminance (or chrominance) non-uniformity. Each effect is modeled as a transformation in either spatial (positional) space or color space. Representing the effects as transformations of digital pixel data, allows the different anomalies to be resolved within a common framework, namely that of image 'warping'. The anomaly, having been expressed as a pixel transformation, is then eliminated by electronically applying the inverse transformation. This process is equivalent to digitally manipulating or warping the image in position and/or color space and accordingly this can be achieved using commercially known warping circuits. In addition, the transformation can also contain a component to additionally perform any application specific image warping (e.g. scaling and geometric transformations). Finally, by storing a sequence of transformations, adaptive anomaly correction and dynamic effects can be achieved.

摘要: A dodecahedral environmental photography and projection system based on a pentagonal format is disclosed, designed for a modular compound camera and projector system aligned according to the dodecahedron, for the photography and projection of apparently continuous images across the interior surface of a dome or spherical theater. The use of a compound system provides better resolution than a single-camera system, and the use of a pentagonal picture as a standard shape allows complete coverage of a spherical surface, and greater use of the available lens image than existing rectangular formats. By the addition of camera and projection modules, this system enables photography and projection up to a total spherical field of view, and practical application of video technology to a dome theater. A masking processor is also provided to control the shape of the projected video image, enabling projection of compound images of variable overall shape and size. An electro-optical lens is also described, sufficient to produce the effect of a lens with two or three optical centers, so that one lens can cover more than one view. With a dual-center lens, the number of camera modules required is thereby halved, or if the number of camera modules remains the same and their dual views are made to overlap, the effective resolution of the system is thereby doubled.
