Abstract:
A device that estimates information from a signal includes a receiver for receiving an input signal and electronic processing circuitry. The electronic processing circuitry generates a matrix associated with the input signal and determines an approximation of an inverse of the matrix based on the adjoint of the matrix and a scaling factor associated with the determinant of the matrix. This approximation avoids possible mathematical difficulties that may be encountered in certain situations when a typical matrix inversion is calculated. The approximated inverse matrix is applied to the input signal to transform the input signal into an output signal. Information associated with the input signal is then determined based on the output signal.
Abstract:
A method for reception improvement of a FM tuner receiving at least a first and a second FM broadcast signal, in a common channel, Co-C, situation, comprising the steps of: providing a first and a second FM front-end; for outputting a first signal and a second signal, respectively, corresponding to the received first and second FM broadcast signals; selecting a currently preferred signal of the first and the second signal; outputting the currently preferred signal as an IF signal; providing a previously preferred signal by delaying the currently preferred signal; and wherein selecting the currently preferred signal of the first and the second signal comprises determining if a Co-C situation has occurred and in case it is determined that a Co-C situation has not occurred determining a first phase diversity comprising first phase diversity parameters based on the first and the second signal; and selecting the currently preferred signal based on the result of the first phase diversity; and in case it is determined that a Co-C situation has occurred, calculating a first correlation of two input signals, wherein a first input signal is based on the previously preferred signal and a second input signal is based on the first signal, and calculating a second correlation of two other input signals, wherein a first other input signal is based on the previously preferred signal and a second other input signal is based on the second signal, and selecting the currently preferred signal of the first and the second signal based on which of the first and the second correlations shows a larger consistency value.
Abstract:
A mobile communication system receives a despread signal of a reception signal, and performs a control operation such that a weight for generating a reception beam is calculated using a first technique if a difference between an error value at a current time and an error value at a previous time is greater than an absolute value of a first threshold or the error value at the current time is greater than or equal to a second threshold, and performs a control operation such that the weight is calculated using a second technique if the different between the error value at the current time and the error value at the previous time is less than or equal to the absolute value of the first threshold and the error value at the current time is less than the second threshold.

A user apparatus in a radio communication system including a plurality of base stations, including: reception means that receives, from a connecting base station, control information to be used for reducing an interference signal sent from an interference base station for the user apparatus; and interference reducing means that reduces the interference signal by using the control information to obtain a desired signal sent from the connecting base station.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for providing multi-antenna enhancements using multiple processing units. A UE (User Equipment) may receive data via three or more antennas. The UE may determine a number of independent processing units to be employed to process the data, wherein the determined number of independent processing units includes at least two processing units and at least one processing unit jointly processes at least two streams of data. The data may be processed by the determined number of independent processing units and the results of the processing units may be combined.
