Abstract:
A system for securely and reliably transferring startup script files over a network may include a unified extensible firmware interface (UEFI) network stack on a client server wherein the client server requests startup script over the network upon startup of the client server using a secure transfer network protocol and receives over the network the startup script. A computing device may comprise a unified extensible firmware interface (UEFI) shell to request a download of startup script, over a network, upon startup of the client server wherein the startup script is staged in a provisioned storage device within the client server to be mounted as local file systems in the client server. The UEFI shell.
Abstract:
The disclosure is related to a system and a method for topology management in a local area network. In the method, a plurality of access points (101) within a local area network communicate with each other using exchanged packets. A management protocol is employed by the access points (101) to confirm one of them being designated as a master access point, which is in charge of allocating IP addresses to the devices joining this LAN. The access points (101) can acquire the IP address of the master access point via the management protocol. The master AP can collect operation information from every access point via the same protocol. Under this management mechanism, the access points (101) within the LAN can re-confirm the master access point by the management protocol when the topology of the LAN is changed, and again the master access point can re-collect operation information of the other access points.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a communications system, including: a control apparatus, multiple remote apparatuses, and a network management server, where the control apparatus communicates with and connects to the multiple remote apparatuses, and the control apparatus controls data aggregation and distribution of the multiple remote apparatuses; the control apparatus communicates with and connects to the network management server, and the network management server and the control apparatus transmit management data and feedback data according to a preset solution, so that the control apparatus and the multiple remote apparatuses are presented as only one network element on the network management server. Compared with the prior art in which many small-cell base stations are independently presented on a network management server side, the communications system provided in the embodiments of the present invention can enable many macro base stations and small-cell base stations to be presented as only one network element on the network management server side, thereby reducing complexity of network communication and management.
Abstract:
The present disclosure discloses a home gateway equipment and upgrading method thereof. The method includes: responding to a query of a user for acquiring an Internet Protocol (IP) address, assigning an available IP address to the user through a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server module preset in a boot program (BOOT) of the home gateway equipment, and assigning an IP address of the home gateway equipment itself to the user as a Domain Name System (DNS) server address; responding to a domain name query of the user, returning a fixed IP address to the user through a DNS server module preset in the BOOT of the home gateway equipment; and completing a local software upgrade of the home gateway equipment according to the fixed IP address. By means of the technical solution of the present disclosure, the cost for the operator to complete fault detection, onsite maintenance, product recall, or the like in this case can be reduced.
Abstract:
A system comprises a first network to which at least one user device and a gateway device are connected, which gateway device is also connected to a second network and is configured to cooperate with a virtual gateway application accommodated in the second network. A method of managing the system comprises the step of accommodating an auxiliary virtual gateway application in the at least one user device, which auxiliary virtual gateway application is configured for providing at least some functionalities of the virtual gateway application when communication between the gateway device and the virtual gateway application is lost. Although the virtual gateway application and the auxiliary gateway application may have distinct sets of functionalities, it is preferred that these applications each have DHCP functionality. This allows the auxiliary virtual gateway application to take over DHCP functions when communication with the second network is lost.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and device for a load balance. The device comprises: a selecting module, configured to select, according to a load state and fault state of each network edge node in a network edge node pool of an access network, a network edge node having the capacity of bearing a load to serve a user equipment from the network edge node pool when a message including information indicating that the user equipment intends to access a network is received; and a sending module, configured to send a message for indicating the selected network edge node to serve the user equipment to the selected network edge node. The method and device of the present invention can improve a utilization rate of a network edge node and lower the requirement for the capacity of the network edge node.
Abstract:
A method for use in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) for configuring a privacy protocol stack profile, including private addresses for the WTRU is described herein. For example, the WTRU may determine if it is in an unknown location and may set a profile of the WTRU to public network, and may set the MAC and IP addresses and other protocol identifiers to random, opaque and non-persistent. The method also includes receiving information about neighboring networks, which may then be used to determine profile options based on context of the neighboring networks. Available profile options based on the determination may be displayed and selected via a user input. Each layer of a protocol stack may be then instructed to use privacy and security settings based on the selected profile, which may include anonymous or random dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) parameters.
Abstract:
The disclosure discloses a method and device for processing a Service Function Chaining (SFC). The method includes that: the SFC receives a message sent from forwarding equipment; the SFC generates a forwarding table corresponding to the message; and under a condition that a preset state of a forwarding table sending switch is on, the SFC sends the forwarding table to the forwarding equipment to make the forwarding equipment forward the message according to the forwarding table when receiving the message, wherein the forwarding table sending switch is used for indicating the SFC whether to send the forwarding table to the forwarding equipment or not. By the disclosure, an effect of increasing a success rate of data forwarding of the SFC is achieved.
