Abstract: A computer-implemented method for data transmission in a communication system is proposed. The method comprising:
a) establishing a channel, including an input and an output, between a first unit and a second unit of the communication system, wherein an input IP is assigned to the input and an output IP is assigned to the output,
b) receiving, a first IP-packet including first IP-addresses and a payload,
c) matching, the first IP-addresses to first database IP-addresses for obtaining a channel-ID,
d) generating, a second IP-packet including second IP-addresses, the channel-ID and the payload,
e) matching, the channel-ID to a corresponding decryption key and decrypting the payload,
f) matching, the second IP-addresses to second database IP-addresses for obtaining a physical destination IP-address, and
g) generating, a third IP-packet and transmitting the third IP-packet to a physical destination IP-address.

-- in a second step, the customer premises equipment receives, from the service edge entity or functionality and/or from the policy controller entity or functionality the line ID information,
-- in a third step, the customer premises equipment initiates a protected data transmission tunnel to the business support system entity or functionality, wherein the data transmission tunnel is specific to the customer premises equipment, and wherein the line ID information as well as an identifier information, relating to the customer premises equipment, is transmitted, using the data transmission tunnel, to the business support system entity or functionality.

The repetitions are limited to a pre-defined maximum number or attempts. The fetching attempts may be performed by the client device, by an intermediate device in a non-direct fetching scheme, or a combination thereof. Various fetching schemes may be used sequentially until the content is retrieved.
