The image processor is configured to: measure parallax within the processed images by detecting parallax-induced changes taking into account the position of the cameras that captured the images and by ignoring pixels in the images captured by the plurality of cameras that are in an exposed occlusion set; generate a depth map using the measured parallax; synthesize images having different levels of zoom; and synthesize an image at a zoom level between a zoom level of the wide field of view camera and a zoom level of the telephoto camera using the images captured by plurality of cameras and the depth map.

In the image reading apparatus, when an instruction for starting reading is implemented without selecting a single-side reading mode or a both-side reading mode of the original, the reading of the both sides is executed for a first original. In the case that the first original is determined to be the both-side original, the both-side reading mode is still executed. In the case that the first original is determined to be the single-side original, the single-side reading mode is executed.
