In order to avoid damaging tumbling work of the diaphragm, it is proposed according to the invention that the movement transmission means (32, 42, 50, 52) are formed by way of an epicyclic gear mechanism (44), the output member (40) of which is configured as a crank (42), the input shaft (48) of which is guided eccentrically with respect to the rotational axis of the drive shaft (18), and the output shaft (38) of which has an axial offset (A) with respect to the input shaft (48), which axial offset (A) corresponds to an eccentricity (E) of the input shaft (48) with respect to the rotational axis of the drive shaft (18).

According to the invention, in order to increase the measuring accuracy of a mass flow, even for small released flow cross-sections, the second pressure measurement point (44) in the third channel section (36) is arranged within an axial section (50) through which the valve body (18) moves during its rotation, on the region of the flow housing (10) at a distance from the shaft (16) when viewed in the peripheral direction of the housing wall (14).

However, these devices have the inconvenient that increased flow resistances caused by choking the pipes also reduce the performance of a downstream compressor and of the internal combustion engine. In order to solve this problem, the invention proposes the formation of guide ribs (52) on the first surface (44).

According to the invention, in order to be able to guarantee an emergency operation with maximum coolant supply of the coolant circuit, without the use of a return spring, the flow channel (24) is fluidically connected to a second pressure chamber (82) of the control slider (58) via a connection channel (94), which is formed on the axial side of the control slider (58) directed towards the coolant pump impeller (20).
