Abstract:
A method and system for displaying a series of images captured by a digital camera, which includes a user interface (430) that includes a view finder (402). The method and system first stores each of the captured images in memory, and then displays a plurality of image cells (418) in the view finder, wherein each of the image cells corresponds to one of the captured images. The method and system further provides at least one of the image cells with an image area for displaying the corresponding captured image, and further provides the at least one image cell with an icon area for displaying additional information regarding the corresponding captured image.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises a method and system for implementing Internet access to images stored in a digital image capture unit including an imaging device and display. The image capture unit (e.g., a digital camera) is used to capture images and store them within its internal memory. The image capture unit accesses an ID server via the Internet and registers its identity and Internet address with the web server. A user subsequently accesses the image capture unit by entering the identity of the image capture unit into his web browser. The web browser, using standard Internet prorocols, then queries the ID server with the identity of the image capture unit and retrieves the Internet address. The Internet address is subsequently used to access a web page hosted by the image capture unit and display the web page to the user. The web page provides access to the stored images within the image capture unit.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for automatically rotating a graphical user interface for managing portrait and landscape captures in an image capture unit. A method and apparatus for viewing an image in an image capture unit including a display comprises the steps of providing a first orientation associated with the image via step (700) and providing a second orientation associated with the image capture unit via step (702). It is then determined whether the first orientation is different from the second orientation via step (704), and the image is displayed in the second orientation if the first and second orientations are different from each other via step (706).
Abstract:
A method and system (110) is disclosed for accelerating a user interface on a display of an image capture unit. The image capture unit (114) includes a plurality of images files for providing a plurality of images. In the first aspect, the method and system (110) comprises selecting an image based upon a scrolling method and providing a predetermined number of speculation buffer. The method and system (110) includes organizing the predetermined number of speculation buffers based upon the selected images so as to assign each of the predetermined number of speculation buffers to store one of the plurality of images in response to the scrolling method. In second aspect, the image capture unit (114) operates in a plurality of modes. The image capture unit (114) also includes a plurality of input buffers which are utilizing one of the plurality of modes and are unutilized on at least one of the other of the plurality of modes. The method and system (110) in accordance with this aspect comprises reallocating the input buffers as speculation buffers and providing image data from the image files to the speculation buffers when the image capture unit (110) is in the at least one of the plurality of modes.
Abstract:
A system (10) and method for correlating processing data and image data within a digital camera device (14) comprises a capture device (24) for gathering image data, a data cell manager (95) for building a data cell (76) containing processing data and for linking the data cell to the image data, and a processor device (88) for processing and compressing the image data by using the processing data stored within the data cell.
