Also disclosed are blends of the above mixed blowing agents with active hydrogen-containing com­pounds, particularly polyols and the rigid closed cell foams prepared from such blends. Up to 60 percent reduction in hard halocarbons is realized with the mixed blowing agents.

The body (14) has at least one optical fiber extended through the body (14) for transmitting modulated light (26) through the body (14), out a window at the forward end of the body (14), and along an optical axis (25) into the sample (12) to optically excite the analyte. A pressure transducer (34) mounted beyond the window and spaced laterally away from the optical axis (25) detects an acoustic response of the analyte to the modulated light. This probe is particularly suitable for performing remote photoacoustic analysis of analyte concentration in a sample.

    摘要: Chelants represented by formula (Ib) are determined to be biodegradable when Distance A is from 3.8 x 10-10 to 4.6 x 10-10 m, Distance B is from 5.1 x 10-10 to 5.9 x 10-10 m, and Distance C is from 4.3 to 6.7 x 10-10 m. Compounds meeting these criteria are referred to as compounds of Formula (2).     摘要: A method of processing aluminum nitride powder in water such that the aluminum nitride exhibits a reduced tendency for hydrolysis comprises forming an aqueous admixture. The admixture includes (a) a liquid medium containing water, (b) aluminum nitride powder, and (c) a combination of buffering agents that includes a weak acid and a conjugate base of the weak acid and controls pH of the water within a range of from » 5.5 to « 7.0. The combination of buffering agents is employed at a lower weight percent concentration than that of the aluminum nitride powder. The combination of buffering agents and the liquid medium suitably form a solution into which the aluminum nitride powder is admixed. The resultant powder is also disclosed.
