The composite wire (8) is constructed especially from a bare wire (15) around which a number, for example, five, six or more, single wire strands (9-14) having a thin insulating layer are arranged in the form of a bunch. The assembly is surrounded by a layer of an electrically insulating material, which itself may be surrounded by a layer of a thermoplastic material. This wire is particularly suitable for winding saddle-shaped deflection coils for deflection units for cathode ray tubes.

Bei einem Verfahren zum Einziehen eines schweren Kabels (1) in einen Kabelkanal (3) werden am Kabel in regelmässigen Abständerr Kabelhalter (5) befestigt, deren Konfiguration dem Querschnitt des Kabelkanals (3) angepasst ist. Mit Hilfe eines Spannseiles (6), weiches an den Kabelhaltern und/oder am Kabel befestigt ist, wird das Kabel (1) in den Kabelkanal (3) eingezogen. Anschliessend wird das Spannseil an beiden Enden unter Zugspannung verankert. Auf diese Weise wird auf das Kabel selbst beim Einziehen keine Zugspannung mehr ausgeübt und das Kabel wird durch die Kabelhalter in einem Abstand von der Innenwand des Kabelkanals gehalten.

Ein Roebelstab (10) für rotierende elektrische Maschinen, insbesondere für Turbogeneratoren, umfasst einen geraden Nutteil (NT), welcher in eine Nut im Statoreisenblech der Maschine eingelegt wird, und einen daran anschliessenden gebogenen Bügelteil (BT), der aus dem Stator herausragt und über den jeder Stab mit anderen Stäben zu einer Wicklung verbunden ist, wobei der Roebelstab (10) einen von einer Isolierung (12) umgebenen Cu-Leiter (11) aufweist, und die Oberfläche der Isolierung (12) im Nutteil (NT) mit einem Nutglimmschutz (13) in Form einer elektrisch leitfähigen Schicht und im Bügelteil (BT) mit einem Bügelglimmschutz (14) in Form einer halbleitenden Schicht versehen ist. Ein solcher Roebelstab wird dadurch entscheidend verbessert, dass zur Verhinderung von exzessiver Erwärmung und von Entladungen im Übergangsbereich zwischen Nutteil (NT) und Bügelteil (BT) in diesem Bereich Mittel (15) zur Erniedrigung der kapazitiven Kopplung vorgesehen sind.

In a plant comprising one or more electric machines constructed with insulated conductors and connected for heavy current via insulated conductors, the magnetic circuit in at least one of these electric machines is connected directly to a high supply voltage of 20 - 800 kV, preferably higher than 36 kV. The insulation of the electric machine is built up of a cable (6) placed in its winding and comprising one or more current-carrying conductors (31) with a number of strands (36) surrounded by outer and inner semiconducting layers (34, 32) and intermediate insulating layers (33). The conductors (31) may be group-wise connected in parallel and semiconducting layers are therefore not required around every conductor in the group. If the conductors (31) are connected in series with each other within the group a part insulation (35) is required which will withstand a few kV, whereas connection of the conductors (31) to every phase requires a strong part insulation (35) which will withstand the phase voltage of the high-voltage supply network.
