    摘要: The subject matter of the present invention is a method for preparing a starch-based thermoplastic composition, comprising the following steps: (a) selecting at least one granular starch and at least one organic plasticizer for this starch, (b) preparing a plasticized composition by thermomechanically mixing this starch and this plasticizer, (c) optionally incorporating at least one functional substance carrying functions comprising an active hydrogen, (d) incorporating at least one bonding agent carrying at least two functional groups capable of reacting with molecules carrying functions comprising an active hydrogen, and optionally (e) heating the mixture to a temperature sufficient to cause the bonding agent to react with the plasticizer and with the starch and/or the functional substance, it being possible for steps (d) and (e) to be carried out simultaneously, and also a starch-based thermoplastic composition that can be obtained by means of this method.

    摘要: Emulsifier having at least one pregelatinized, crosslinked starch selected from a C 2 -C 5 hydroxyalkyl starch and a C 2 -C 18 acyl starch and at least one starch derivative containing a hydrophobic group or both a hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group. The starch derivative can be degraded by reaction with an exo-enzyme capable of cleaving 1,4-α-D-glucosidic linkages from non-reducing ends of starch, but incapable of cleaving 1,6-α-D-glucosidic linkages of starch. Such emulsifier achieves stable compositions that are salt tolerant and do not exhibit tackiness. Further, the emulsifier is ethoxylate-free and can be used in a variety of compositions, including cosmetic compositions.

    摘要: A biodegradable polymer is disclosed having the composition g) from 8 to 80 % by weight of a starch modified to include an hydroxyalkyl C2-6 group or modified by reaction with an anhydride of a dicarboxylic acid, preferably hydroxypropylated high amylose starch, a) from 0 to 87.9 % of starch, b) from 4 to 11 % by weight of a water soluble polymer selected from polyvinylacetate, polyvinyl alcohol and copolymers of ehtylene and vinylalcohol which have a melting point compatible with the molten state of the starch components, c) from 0 to 20 % by weight of a polyol plasticiser, preferably glycerol, d) from 0.1 to 1.5 % by weight of a C12-22 fatty acid or salt, preferably stearic acid and, e) 0 to 12 % added water. The polymers are suitable as biodegradable rigid sheet or flexible film materials for use in packaging foodstuffs.
