摘要: This invention relates to an antitumor agent comprising as a main ingredient a chemically purified cell walls of microorganisms belonging to genus Bificobacterium having physical integrity of cell wall structure thereof, obtained without being subjected to chemical and/or physical destruction of said cell wall during removal of intracellular substances of said cell, and a process for manufacturing the same, which comprises the steps of; (a) treating said cells with surfactants, (b) treating said cells with proteases, nucleases, organic solvents and dilute acid, to remove intracellular substances out of said cells without destruction thereof, and (c) separating a chemically purified cell walls having physical integrity of cell wall structure thereof.

摘要: Biologically pure mutants of Bacillus cereus sub-species israelensis (also called Bacillus thuringiensis sub. sp. israelensis) which are substantially non-spore-forming but which are capable of forming inclusion bodies toxic to Diptera larvae are described. A spore-free insecticide based on these inclusion bodies as well as the method of producing same are disclosed.

摘要: A lactobacillus beverage which comprises a proouct of lactic acid fermentation of a fruit juice containing no milk component and has a content of a homotype lactobacillus microorganism of 10 6 /ml or more and a pH of 4.0 or lower, and a method for its preparation. This method comprises bringing a fruit juice into contact with a solid agent selected from amide resins, diatomaceous earths, activated carbons, and anion-exchange resins which comprise resins having quaternary ammonium groups, and then proliferating homotype lactobacillus in the fruit juice at a pH of 4.0 or lower substantially in the absence of a milk component until the content of the lactobacillus becomes 10 6 /ml or more.
