Each of the loading links (7) comprises a pivotal lever (71) rotatably fitting around a pivot (10) on the chassis (1) and a link plate (72) connected by a pivot pin (74) to a free end of the pivotal lever (71) and rotatably engaged at a forward end thereof with the guide block (5). The chassis (1) is formed with apertures (13) permitting insertion of the respective guide blocks (5) therein, each covered with the catcher (3) and each communicating with the guide slot (12). The aperture (13) is positioned at a greater distance from the pivot (10) than the forward end of the link plate (72) when a center line L1 connecting the pivot (10) and the pivot pin (74) and a center line L2 connecting the pivot pin (74) and the portion of connection between the guide block (5) and the link plate (72) extend toward the direction of loading in alignment with each other.

    摘要: A tape loading mechanism can reduce a load imposed upon a tape by removing conventional inclined guides and reduce the number of assemblies necessary for forming a tape transport system. The tape transport system of the tape loading mechanism is composed of four guide members including a tension regulator guide (9) for supporting a tape unreeled from a supply reel (1), a guide post (12) having a shuttle for guiding the tape to the entrance side of a rotary drum (14), a guide post (13) having a shuttle for guiding the tape to the exit side of the rotary drum (14), and an exit guide (21) for guiding the tape to a take-up reel (3). The tension regulator guide (9) and the exit guide (21) are formed as inclined guides having flanges in order to twist the tape supported by the respective guides so that a tape transport direction and a tape height direction can be varied. Thus, the conventional inclined guide member-with-shuttle can be removed.

    摘要: The position of tape loading and unloading mechanisms is determined using position switches whose output signals are coupled via a resistance network. The differences in voltage between different positions is small, thus making interpretation unreliable. The aim of the invention is to provide increased reliability, without the need for tightly toleranced network resistances or a high-stability network voltage. In a calibration procedure, the voltage associated with each individual position is measured at the network output, input into a memory and used as a target value for normal operation. The invention is applicable in particular to analogue or digital video or audio cassette recorders.

    摘要: A magnetic tape cassette helical scan magnetic tape recorder (100) has a magnetic tape threading and transport apparatus (101), (102) including multi-surface, multi-radius air bearing blocks (17), (18) for transporting magnetic tape (103) in a helical path around a tilted rotary head scanner (15). Vacuum walls (9), (10) located on either side of the rotary head scanner (15) assist in threading the magnetic tape (103) from a magnetic tape cassette (1) around the rotary head scanner (15). The air bearing blocks (17), (18) are moved into position contiguous to the rotary head scanner (15) after the vacuum threading operation is completed. The vacuum walls (9), (10) have longitudinal slots which are substantially coextensive with the extent of the air bearing blocks (17), (18). A vacuum sensor is positioned at the end of the slots away from the rotary head scanner (15) so that the sensor is only actuated when the tape (103) is against the whole length of the wall (9), (10). This prevents damage to the tape (103) when the air bearing blocks (17), (18) are moved behind the threaded tape (103).
