    摘要: A system and method for leveraging grid computing for node based interactive workflows is disclosed. A server system spawns a server process that receives node graph data and input attributes from a computing device, processes the data, caches the processed data, and transmits the processed data over a network to a computing device. The computing device runs a node graph application instance comprising proxy nodes configured to initiate a request to process node graph data at the server system. The server processed node graph data is displayed on the computing device. A plurality of computing devices may collaborate on a complex node graph where the node graph data processing is distributed over a plurality of servers.

    摘要: A robot that includes two or more skeletal or rigid links interconnected by a joint. The joint is pneumatically actuated and includes a pneumatic joint actuator that allows the robot's skeletal links to be moved in an expressive manner. The pneumatic actuator includes a pair of opposing air bladders encased within a housing or body of the joint. Each air bladder is positioned on an opposite side of an actuating lever arm, which is rigidly attached to one of the skeletal links and is pivotally mounted on the joint body or housing. Movement of the actuating lever arm causes the attached skeletal link to pivot. To obtain this selective movement, one of the two air bladders is filled with a gas, such as air, while the other is left un-inflated or less inflated, and this forces the lever arm and attached skeletal link to pivot about their mounting point.

    摘要: A three dimensional (3D) display apparatus for without 3D glasses. The display apparatus includes a display element operated to display left and right eye images. A back light assembly back lights the display element and includes light bars with a row of infrared (IR) light receivers that are each paired to a white light emitting diode (LED). Viewers in seats in tiered rows such that their heads are in known viewing locations. Left and right side illuminators illuminate the left and right sides of the faces of the viewers with IR light. The IR light is synchronized with display of the left and right eye images. IR reflected from viewers' faces pass through the display element and is focused onto IR light receivers, which causes LEDs to emit light onto the display element and provide left or right eye images to the viewers at their left or right eyes.

The method includes pouring material for the skin system (780) into the mold to occupy the cavity (770) between the exterior mold (760) and the interior core (610). The method includes disassembling the mold assembly and removing the skin with the sheet of reinforcement material (620) embedded within the skin (780) at an offset distance from a surface (784) of the skin.
