The method includes: receiving, by user equipment, at least one piece of virtual bandwidth configuration information, where the virtual bandwidth configuration information is used for indicating a configuration of a virtual bandwidth; and performing, by the user equipment, signal reception and/or signal processing according to at least one virtual bandwidth in the virtual bandwidth indicated by the at least one piece of virtual bandwidth configuration information, where each virtual bandwidth is a part or all of a downlink maximum available bandwidth or a downlink transmission bandwidth, and the downlink maximum available bandwidth is a maximum bandwidth available for downlink transmission. In the embodiments of the present invention, problems of reduction of overheads and reduction of complexity of signal reception and signal processing are implemented, and overheads and complexity of signal reception and processing feedback can be flexibly controlled.

The sending method includes: determining, by a base station, a parameter configuration format for the reference signal from the at least two sets of parameter configuration formats, where the reference signal is configured with at least two sets of parameter configuration formats of the reference signal, and at least one parameter in different parameter configuration formats of the reference signal has a different configuration granularity; and performing, by the base station, parameter configuration for the reference signal by using the determined parameter configuration format, and sending the reference signal to a terminal. The method for coordinated multi-node transmission includes: acquiring, by a user equipment, channel state indicator information of each coordinating node; feeding back, by the user equipment, all information or a part of information in the acquired channel state indicator information to a base station, so that each coordinating node performs, according to the channel state indicator information that has been fed back, scheduling on the user equipment and/or one or more other user equipments served by each coordinating node; and if the user equipment is scheduled, receiving, by the user equipment, scheduling result notification information sent by the base station, and receiving, by the user equipment according to the scheduling result notification information, data transmitted by a base station that corresponds to a coordinating node serving the user equipment. The present invention is applicable to a radio communications system.

The method includes: determining an original size of a DCI format which is in a first group and is the format of DCI to be transmitted; determining, according to a current transmission configuration, a second group of DCI formats that can be used under the current transmission configuration; comparing a size of the DCI format in the second group with the original size of the DCI format in the first group, and if the second group includes a DCI format that has a same size as a DCI format in the first group, appending a bit to the DCI format which is in the first group of DCI formats and has the same size as the DCI format in the second group, so that size of the DCI format in the first group after the bit appending is different from that of the DCI format in the second group; and transmitting, according to the DCI format with the appended bit in the first group, the DCI to be transmitted. According to embodiments of the present invention, DCI formats under a current configuration may be easily distinguished with a relative small overhead.

The method includes: determining, by a UE according to a detected first reference signal, a first resource on which the detected first reference signal is located; determining, by the UE, a reference signal received power RSRP of a target cell according to a received power of the detected first reference signal carried on the first resource; determining, by the UE, a second resource; determining, by the UE, a received signal strength indicator RSSI of the target cell according to a total received power on the second resource; and determining, by the UE, reference signal received quality RSRQ or a signal to interference plus noise ratio SINR of the target cell or both according to the RSRP and RSSI.
