Abstract:
A loudspeaker system includes a first flexible panel, a first line array of electro-acoustic drivers, and at least one mechanically adjustable point. The first line array of electro-acoustic drivers are mounted on the first flexible panel and linked to each other by flexible joints in the first flexible panel. The at least one mechanically adjustable point enables articulation of the first flexible panel at the flexible joints to produce one or more of a substantially straight and an arcuate configuration of the first line array of electro-acoustic drivers.
Abstract:
An apparatus uses a transducer to produce vibration in the ultrasonic frequency range and in the audible frequency range. A membrane or cantilever structure is coupled to the transducer to produce acoustic waves. When the vibration is in the audible frequency range, the membrane structure works like a conventional loudspeaker. When the vibration is in the ultrasonic frequency range, the ultrasonic signal is modulated by audio signal for creating better directivity. The acoustic waves in the ultrasonic frequency range can reproduce directional audible sound due to the nonlinear interaction of ultrasonic waves in air.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a sound system comprising at least one Digital Signal Processor control module, acting on a signal to the high-frequency transducer (1) and on a signal to mid-frequency transducer (4) in such a way as to apply, in a common frequency range, at least one magnitude parameter as well as at least one phase parameter so as to produce a directivity along the same angular sector as a directivity produced by the orientable shutters (6).
Abstract:
A speaker array apparatus includes an apparatus housing having a disposition plane, and a speaker array which includes a plurality of speakers disposed at least in a vertical direction on the disposition plane of the apparatus housing that is opposite to a listening position. The speaker array apparatus receives and distributes a sound signal input from an outside to all of or a part of the speakers of the speaker array, and outputs the distributed sound signal as a sound beam by controlling an output timing of each sound output from the all or part of the speakers. Each speaker of the speaker array has an appropriate output direction in an elevation angle, the appropriate output direction indicating a direction having largest sound pressure in a sound pressure distribution when the sound is output from the speaker.
Abstract:
Spatial audio transducer system comprises a sun visor (18a, 18b) of a vehicle (10) and a spatial audio transducer array (20a, 20b). The array (20a, 20b) comprises at least three individual audio transducers, wherein the spatial audio transducer array (20a, 20b) is integrated into the sun visor (18a, 18b) or into a headlining of the vehicle (10) such that same overlaps at least partially with the sun visor (18a, 18b) at a closed position of the sun visor (18a, 18b).
Abstract:
[Object] To provide a headphone device in which the influence of individual differences in virtual sound field reproduction is less likely to occur and which may listen external sounds naturally. [Solution] A left-side headphone body and a right-side headphone body include speaker arrays which are formed of a plurality of speaker units which are arranged to surround auricles, respectively. The speaker array of the headphone body reproduces a sound field inside a closed curved surface in the vicinity of the auricle using wave field synthesis, and since reverberation or a diffraction effect occurs in the ear of each individual, the influence caused by individual differences is less likely to occur. In addition, the speaker array has the plurality of the speaker units arranged to surround the auricle and is not of a shape that blocks the ear of the listener, and then the external sound can be heard naturally.
Abstract:
A speaker device capable of emitting a sound to a user located in front of the speaker device with good sound quality and increased flexibility of design is provided. The speaker device includes: a speaker unit oriented upward; a head piece provided on an upper side of the speaker unit; and a light emitting element provided between the speaker unit and the head piece at a position where the light emitting element does not interfere with propagation of the sound. The head piece includes a reflector configured to reflect the sound emitted by the speaker unit, in a horizontal direction. The light emitting element is oriented toward the reflector. The reflector may be a surface having a shape obtained by joining two triangles each connecting between a lower end corner of a back board and an upper edge of a sound emission opening.
