    摘要: An electrical terminal (12) is provided for an electrically heated glass sheet. The terminal includes a base plate (18) defining a central axis (22) generally perpendicular thereto. The base plate (18) is concentric about the axis (22) to facilitate spin-soldering the terminal to a conductive pad on the glass sheet. A terminal post (20) projects upwardly from the base plate (18) for connection to an appropriate mating terminal (14). The terminal (20) is a drawn, one-piece laminated structure including a base conductor layer (24) and a solder layer (26).

    摘要: A connector terminal for joining a round type electric wire with a flat type electric wire. The connector terminal comprises a first caulking portion for securing the round wire to a first end of the connector terminal, and a clasping portion for securing the flat wire to a second end of the connector terminal, the clasping portion comprising a first and second spring portion, a projecting portion projecting from the clasping portion toward the flat wire, and second caulking portion for compressing the flat electric wire between the first and second spring portion by securing the first spring portion to the second spring portion. The projecting portion may receive solder so that the flat type electric wire can be spot welded to the connector terminal. The resulting connection is extremely compact, reliable, and provides a stable electrical connection over time.

    摘要: A transition adapter for terminating single or dual conductor flat power cable (214) includes at least a stamped and formed member (208) having one or opposed plate sections (202) against or between which an end or edge portion of the cable is receivable to be terminated. Opposed plate sections (202) have opposed transverse arrays of shearing wave shapes (222) alternating with arcuate shapes defining relief recesses (224), with each wave shape opposing a relief recess and the lateral edges of the opposing arrays of shearing wave shapes cooperating as shearing edges. When the plate sections are urged together against the cable therebetween, the shearing edges shear the cable insulation and conductor into strips while the crests the wave shapes deflect the sheared cable portions into the opposing relief shapes thus exposing sheared conductor edges for electrical connections therewith and forming mechanical and electrical connections with the cable. Copper insert members (228) may be secured along the plate sections and have apertures into which the sheared conductor strips are deflected, and the insert members (228) may be staked forcing metal against the sheared conductor edges for gas-tight connections. A pair of such adapters may be used to terminate dual conductor cable.
