Durch die Mitnahmemittel (19,25,30,33) wird der Kolben (15) bei jedem Impfhub mit dem zweiten Gehäuseteil (28) im Sinne einer Verkleinerung des Volumens der Vorratskammer (14) mitgeführt. Bei jedem Rückhub wird der Kolben (15) von den Mitnahmemitteln freigegeben, so daß er mit dem zweiten Gehäuseteil (28) nicht mitgeführt wird, sondern in seiner Stellung verbleibt, die er nach dem Impfhub eingenommen hat, so daß das Gesamtvolumen der Vorratskammer (14) schrittweise von Impfvorgang zu Impfvorgang verkleinert wird.

The invention relates to an injector type atomizer of a simple construction capable of stepwisely spraying a prescribed amount of a medicine such as vaccine at a time, which medicine has been sucked into a cylinder. The atomizer comprises the cylinder provided at a tip end thereof with a spray nozzle, a piston fitted into the cylinder, and a rod of which a tip end is mounted to the piston, and of which a rear end protrudes from a rear portion of the cylinder. Provided between the cylinder and the rod is an elastic member adapted to stepwisely collapse, or an engaging structure, of which engagement is released by a predetermined pushing force.

Fastening unit (11) of double-edged needle (12) is fixed on one of the ends of the barrel which provides for the turn of the needle up to 180°. The design of the driver unit permits to carry out an analgesia in two modes: discrete dosing, e.g., for the intraligamental analgesia, and free dosing for the conducting or infiltration analgesia.

A device for generating intermittent motion has two members (1,2; 12,13) which mutually telescope. The inner member (1,13) has an external non-helical track (4,5; 7) which steps, zig-zags or undulates and with which a follower (6) on the interior of the outer member (2; 12) co-operates. The mutual telescoping is therefore forced to take an uneven course. When incorporated in a dispensing device, such as a medical injector, the track geometry can be designed to give measured, intermittent doses from a single capsule. A quick-return track 8 can be provided to bring the members back to the initial position.

The ratchet-like cooperation allows a uni-directional motion of the propeller body (70) and prevents a motion of the propeller body (70) in the opposite direction. Provided the cover (22) is not closed, the motion of the trigger (60) relative to the handle is not transmitted to the propeller body (70), and any unintentional dispensing of fluids from the dispensing device prior to the preparing of the dispensing device for use by closing the cover (22) is consequently prevented.

The injector (110) includes an injector pump which is manually actuated by a pistol grip. A highly precise ratchet mechanism, along with an accurately positioned stop on the travel of the pistol grip, permits the attending medical personnel to deliver the exact volume of paste required.

A compact anesthetic syringe is disclosed for injecting a medication under high pressure into a confined space comprising a lower cylinder (15) to receive a carpule (35) containing a medication and having a cannula assembly (27) at one end which penetrates the carpule. An upper cylinder (17) contains a piston rod (69) having a piston (43) which engages in the carpule. The piston rod has ratchet teeth (61) and a lever (11) pivotally mounted on the upper cylinder and a spring biased away from the cylinder has a ratchet (57) engaging the teeth. Depressing the lever (11) towards the cylinder causes the piston rod to force the piston into the carpule to eject the medication from the cannula. The arrangement provides a compact device which is simple to hold and operate in one hand and a stroke of the lever discharges a known amount of liquid.
