    摘要: A leather-like sheet material comprising a sheet material composed of a fiber aggregate and a elastic polymer, the sheet material containing a fluorine-containing side-chain-modified urethane compound which satisfies the following requirements (i) to (iii),

    (i) said urethane compound containing a urethane-bond-containing compound having a molecular weight of 500 to 5,000 and fluorine-containing side chains having a molecular weight of 200 to 1,000 each, 3 to 12 such fluorine-containing side chains bonding to the urethane-bond-containing compound,
    (ii) said urethane compound having a fluorine content of 20 to 60 % by weight as a fluorine atom, and
    (iii) said urethane compound having 6 to 36 urethane bonds per molecule.

    The present invention provides a process for the production of the above leather-like sheet material, a modified urethane compound satisfying the above requirements (i) to (iii) for use in the process, and a process for the production of the modified urethane compound.
    According to the present invention, the leather-like sheet material is excellent in water repellency from a cut cross section and water resistance.

    摘要: There is provided a composite elastic material comprising a non-woven fabric having an elongation along at least one direction and a break-down elasticity along said direction of 100% or more and a sheet-like elastic member having an elastic recovery of 60% or more and a break-down elasticity of 200% or more, with the elastic member and the non-woven fabric being secured together at a plurality of securements discontinuous in the stretchable direction of the non-woven fabric, and the method of producing the same. The composite elastic material provides multiple-stage elongation characteristic having a first stress lowering point caused by changes of structure of said non-woven fabric while being stretched along said direction, and a second stress lowering point occurring at an elongation larger than that said first stress lowering point lies, caused by break-down of said sheet-like elastic member. Therefore, the elastic material shows clearly a break-down point when stretched, and increases flexibility on designing various products.

    摘要: Elastomer-coated fabric products (30) having predetermined potential extension in the fabric's machine direction and processes for producing the same are provided. The fabric product (30) of the invention preferably includes an elastomer-coated warp-knit, weft-insert fabric (32) whereby the warp knit yarns (38) provide a first potential elongation (as by selection of the type and/or denier of yarns employed). The fabric (32) is compressed in the machine direction (as by overfeeding the fabric to a tenter frame (18) during production) so as to provide a second potential elongation, and is maintained in its compressed state by virtue of the elastomer coating (34) thereon. The first and second elongation potentials thus collectively establish the total potential elongation for the fabric (32) in the machine direction. The cross-machine yarns (36), however, are chosen for their inextensible properties so that the fabric product (30) of this invention will provide lateral support to end use products employing the same as a reinforcing medium, such as tires, power transmission belts, conveyor belts, and the like.
