Abstract: The invention relates to an axle support of a vehicle, in particular a passenger motor vehicle, consisting of an upper shell and a lower shell, each of which is molded from a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic material and which form a hollow body when assembled together. The upper shell and the lower shell are screwed together via metal insert parts laminated into at least some portions of said shell parts. A core part, in particular made of a plastic foam, can be adhesively bonded in the hollow space between the upper shell and the lower shell at least in some regions and preferably in the region of opposing metal insert parts in order to transfer shear stresses over a large area. Furthermore, at least one of the insert parts can be designed for connecting to an attachment part at the same time.
