Abstract:
The present invention relates to a two-component adhesive composition suitable for structural bonding of concrete/concrete, steel/concrete, or steel/steel, as well as for structural strengthening and reinforcing applications with fiber reinforced polymers, comprising a resin component A, a resin curable with a peroxide containing at least one norbornene group and at least one methacrylate containing compound; and a hardener component B comprising a peroxide and at least one thiol; wherein the resin component A and the hardener component B are spatially separated from one another to inhibit any reaction before mixing of said components; the use of said adhesive composition for structural bonding of concrete/concrete, steel/concrete, or steel/steel, as well as for structural strengthening and reinforcing applications with fiber reinforced polymers; and relates also to the cured structural bonds obtained thereby.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns adhesive compositions that provide corrosion-preventative properties and improved adhesive bonding on corrodible surfaces, such as may be found in electronic components. These compositions provide the substrates with greatly increased resistance to corrosion, especially during long term exposure to high temperatures and/or high humidity. When used on conductive substrates, the compositions also maintain good initial and ongoin electrical conductivit.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive composition, specifically, an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive composition having improved anti-static properties, comprising acrylic copolymers, chelating agent which may form a bond with metal ion; and alkali metal salts, and prevent whitening appearance under high temperature and humidity condition as well as static electricity without change of the durability, transparency, and adhesion.
Abstract:
An adhesive that is capable of being curing in at least two stages is prepared by combining at least one isocyanate-functionalized polyurethane prepolymer, at least one hardener, and at least one (meth)acrylate-functionalized compound selected from the group consisting of polyester (meth)acrylates containing hydroxyl functional groups, adducts of epoxy-functionalized poly(meth)acrylic resins and (meth)acrylic acids, polybutadiene (meth)acrylates, and polyoxyalkylene ether mono(meth)acrylates. Such adhesives are particular useful as two part laminating adhesives in the assembly of flexible laminates.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a pressure-sensitive composition comprising an ionic liquid and a polymer having a glass transition temperature Tg of 0°C or lower as a base polymer as a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition in which electrification of a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet can be prevented upon peeling, and staining property on an adherend can be reduced, and an antistatic pressure-sensitive sheet and surface protecting film using the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition.
Abstract:
The invention relates to adhesives comprising at least one silicon-containing C1-C20 alkyl(meth)acrylate copolymer and at least one ethylenically unsaturated acid anhydride, an ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid whose carboxylic acid groups can form an anhydride group, mixtures thereof, or at least one radically copolymerizable monomer that contains an isocyanate group.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive composition containing organic functional groups of urethane and pyridine, more precisely an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive composition which has excellent removability owing to its low initial peel strength on glass and excellent long-term durability since the peel strength of the pressure sensitive adhesive composition onto glass is being increased under high temperature and high humidity. The present invention also relates to an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive composition for a polarizer having excellent adhesive functions and durability, a polarizer and a LCD containing the same.
Abstract:
A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprising a support and an adhesive layer or adhesive layers made of an adhesive agent comprising a base polymer and crosslinking agents on a single surface of the support or on the surface and the other surface thereof, characterized in that the support comprises soft polyvinyl chloride comprising a plasticizer, and at least the adhesive agent on the single surface comprises, as a base polymer, an acrylic copolymer having a carboxyl group and further comprises, as the crosslinking agents, an isocyanate type crosslinking agent, a glycidylamine type crosslinking agent, and a melamine type crosslinking agent. This is a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape which uses soft polyvinyl chloride containing a plasticizer as its support, which can satisfy contradictory properties of initial adhesiveness and adhesive force stable over time, and which has no problems about surface contamination.
Abstract:
The adhesive composition of the present invention has a gel fraction of 20-50%, which comprises an acrylic polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising the following component (a) as a main component and the following component (b) in a proportion of 5-49 wt%: component (a): an alkyl (meth)acrylate wherein the alkyl group has 4 to 12 carbon atoms, component (b): a carboxyl group-containing monomer having a carboxyl group and an ethylenic unsaturated double bond, wherein component (b), when polymerized as a homopolymer has a glass transition temperature of not more than 70°C. The adhesive composition of the present invention is superior in all of the adhesion, impact resistance and repulsion resistance, and can adhere to a part having a coated film formed on a surface to be adhered.
