Es wird eine Vorrichtung (1) zur Speicherung eines Dampfes vorgeschlagen, umfassend einen Druckbehälter (3) zur Aufnahme des Dampfes sowie einen ersten und zweiten Behälter (2, 4), wobei der Druckbehälter (3) und die zwei Behälter (2, 4) über ein Rohrleitungssystem (6) im thermischen Kontakt sind. Erfindungsgemäß sind der erste und zweite Behälter (2, 4) zur Aufnahme eines Phasenwechselschlammes (42) mit einer Schmelztemperatur oberhalb von 50 Grad Celsius ausgebildet, wobei der Phasenwechselschlamm (42) mittels des Rohrleitungssystems (6) vom ersten Behälter (2) über den Druckbehälter (3) zum zweiten Behälter (4) und/oder vom zweiten Behälter (4) über den Druckbehälter (3) zum ersten Behälter (2) förderbar ist. Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Speicherung oder Bereitstellungen eines Dampfes.

The thermodynamic cycle apparatus includes: (i) a first reservoir containing a first storage medium; (ii) a second reservoir containing a second storage medium; (iii) a heat pump having a cold side thermally coupled to the first reservoir for cooling the first storage medium and a hot side thermally coupled to the second reservoir for heating the second storage medium; (iv) a first thermodynamic circuit of a first working fluid; (v) a second thermodynamic circuit of a second working fluid; (vi) an auxiliary heat input thermally connected to the first thermodynamic circuit so that auxiliary heat may contribute to the creation of the first pressurized vapor; and (vii) an auxiliary heat output thermally connected to the second thermodynamic circuit so that the second working fluid can lose heat to an auxiliary heat sink.

Inventions relates to power engineering and energy converters, are intended for accumulating, for instance, during generating excessive electrical energy, storing and returning during increased consuming of the electrical energy or returning of the mechanical energy for using in technological processes. Technical results of inventions: decreasing of dimensions and the cost of the energy accumulator, as well as decreasing of the cost of the energy accumulating, storing and returning method, simplifying and decreasing of the cost of the heat accumulators, being the part of the energy accumulator, maintaining the energy accumulator readiness for continuous cycling using. In methods of accumulating, storing and returning of the mechanical energy and in installations for their realizing three types of loops are used: the gaseous working medium loop, in which in the energy accumulating process it is realized the thermodynamic cycle of the heat pump with the gaseous working medium, but in the energy returning process it is realized the thermodynamic cycle of the heat machine with the gaseous working medium, another loop type - the loop of conventionally cold heat transfer fluid agent, being cooled in the energy accumulating process and being heated in the energy returning process, and the third loop type - the loop of conventionally hot heat transfer fluid agent, being heated in the energy accumulating process and being cooled in the energy returning process.

The apparatus is operable in a charging mode, a storage mode, and a discharge mode. In the charging mode the heat pump is energized to cool the first phase change material and heat the second phase change material. In the storage mode the first phase change material is stored in a first storage vessel and the second phase change material is stored as a pressurized vapor in a second storage vessel. In the discharge mode vaporized first phase change material is expanded by a first expander, or the vaporized second phase change material is expanded by a second expander.

The charging cycle includes a refrigeration unit and a thermal unit, and the discharging cycle includes a power unit. The refrigeration unit is driven by an excess electric power and is configured to generate a cold energy storage having a solid carbon dioxide. The thermal unit is driven by a thermal energy and is configured to generate a hot energy storage and/or provide a hot source. The power unit operates between the cold energy storage and at least one of the hot energy storage and hot source so as to retrieve the energy by producing a high pressure carbon dioxide and a hot supercritical carbon dioxide, and generating an electric energy using the hot supercritical carbon dioxide.
