The invention relates to a method for the metered delivery of low volumetric flows by the introduction of a gaseous stream into a tank containing a liquid and the displacement of the liquid through a liquid conduit. To improve said method, a partial gaseous stream (Q2) is diverted from a mass-flow controlled gaseous stream (Q1), at a pressure (P1) that is maintained at a constant level and that essentially corresponds to the gaseous pressure (P2) in the tank (4), and is guided into said tank to displace the liquid, the mass flow of the partial gaseous stream (2) being measured. A variation in the pressure (P1) allows a partial gaseous mass-flow to be set, whose volumetric flow, determined by taking into consideration the gas density (Q1), corresponds to the desired value for the liquid volumetric flow (Q3).

A bypass tube (6) of smaller cross-sectional area is connected between a location substantially adjacent to a low pressure zone (4) of said first differential pressure creation means (3) and a point (5) between the valve (2) and the first differential pressure creation means (3). The bypass tube (6) is provided with a second means (7) to create a second differential pressure, the pressure at a low pressure zone (8) of said second differential pressure creation means (9) being transmitted to the valve (2) as an indication of the flow rate in the flow path.

Dadurch wird über der Messstrecke (1) eine hydraulische Druckdifferenz erzeugt, die frei von Druck-Oszillationen ist. Eine in eine Förderleitung (15) eingebaute Förderpumpe (16) und ein in eine Ueberströmieitung (19) eingebautes Drosselventil (18) dienen dazu, die Niveauräume (5, 9) immer bis zur Ueberlaufkante (4, 8) mit Flüssigkeit gefüllt zu erhalten. Mit Hilfe einer Temperiereinrichtung (17) kann die Temperatur der Flüssigkeit variiert werden. Eine solche Vorrichtung kann zur Prüfung und Eichung von Geräten zur Messung der Strömungsgeschwindigkeit von Flüssigkeiten und von Flüssigkeitsmengen als Integral der Strömungsgeschwindigkeit über der Zeit dienen.
