In one or more implementations, techniques are described that involve active power control such that a device may bypass use of a power amplifier to communicate wirelessly. In one or more additional implementations, wireless communication techniques are described in which multiple bands may be leveraged to provide wireless communication. In one or more further implementations, wireless communication techniques are described in which a frame buffer on a receiving device is leveraged by a sending device. Yet further, in one or more implementations wireless communication techniques are described in which a sending device employs codec adaptation. Still yet further, in one or more implementations, wireless communication techniques are described which may be used to change characteristics of a channel used to communicate data. Yet further again, in one or more implementations, a receiving device is configured to adjust a display based on wireless communications received from a plurality of devices, such as to leverage a display by multiple wireless sources.

    摘要： A transmission apparatus, such as a radio base station, comprising: a power amplifier (3), having an input (3a) and an output (3b), the power amplifier being arranged so as to amplify signals input at its input (3a) and output the amplified signals at its output (3b) for onward transmission, the power amplifier (3) being capable of amplifying input signals to a maximum power; a plurality of signal generating subsystems (2), which are arranged so as to each provide, in use, a signal to be amplified to the input (3a) of the power amplifier (3); and a power control circuit (4), arranged to assign a portion of the maximum power to each subsystem (2) for amplification of each subsystem's signal; in which each subsystem (2) is arranged to provide the power control circuit (4) with a power demand indicative of the power required by that subsystem (2), and in which the power control circuit (4) is arranged to vary the assignment of each subsystem's portion based upon the demands.

    摘要： A wireless communication system includes a base station and a relay station. The wireless communication system further includes a calculator, an allocator, and an amplifier. The calculator the number of mobile stations for which amplification is to be performed or the rate of mobile stations for which amplification is to be performed among all mobile stations. The allocator based on a calculation result obtained by the calculator, allocates from among a plurality of bands, one or more bands for performing amplification. The amplifier performs amplification with respect to the one or more bands allocated by the allocator. The calculator is included at the base station. The amplifier is included at the relay station. The allocator may be included at the base station or the relay station.
