摘要: Disclosed is an automatic analyzer which can detect a trace amount of reaction solution at a high S/N with stability. The analyzer allows a photomultiplier (111) to detect light from the reaction solution (109) containing a luminescent substance (114) through an optical window (102). To process the output from the photomultiplier to analyze the amount of the luminescent substance (114) contained in the reaction solution (109), an optical transmission system (110) is interposed between the optical window (102) and the photomultiplier (111). The optical transmission system includes a light inlet opposed to the optical window; a light outlet opposed to the light-receiving surface of the detector; and a reflector on which an incident beam of light from the light inlet is reflected to propagate to the light outlet. This configuration allows the effects of temperature-dependent noise from a flow cell (101) to be reduced while preventing a drop in the amount of light from the luminescent substance (114), thereby implementing analysis at a high S/N.

摘要: Provided herein are an examination device and an examination method that can efficiently perform examination even when both whole blood and serum/blood plasma specimens are to be examined. A solid-phase extraction cartridge 102 or a filter 117 is placed on a continuous track of a cartridge table 101. A cup table 103 is disposed below the cartridge table. A cup 104 is placed on a continuous track of the cup table 103 to receive a sample purified by the filter 117. When viewed from above, the continuous track of the cartridge table 101 and the continuous track of the cup table 103 cross each other at a position "m", and each of the tracks crosses a position at which a sample probe 107 operates. A pretreatment for serum/blood plasma is completed in one rotation of the cartridge table. A pretreatment for whole blood is completed in two rotations of the cartridge table.

This allows a reagent transport mechanism attached to the automatic analyzer automatically replacing reagent containers to be configured to move at the same height as those of various units including the reagent probe. The automatic analyzer is thus made small in size and allowed to operate without problems.

The biopolymer property analysis chip (100a) is characterized in that the electrically conductive thin films (130a,130b) are disposed partially on the solid substrate (110) where the nanopore (120) is formed and a biopolymer which has penetrated into the nanopore (120) is caused to generate Raman scattered light by means of irradiation with external light.

摘要: Disclosed is an automatic analyzing device having a reagent cooling box in which reagents that need to be exchanged or additionally loaded can be disposed while vaporization, bubbling, and rolling of liquid surfaces of the reagents are prevented in the most effective manner. A reagent loading mechanism includes a reagent loading unit and a reagent holding unit serving as a rotating mechanism. A reagent cover opening mechanism and a reagent transferring mechanism are disposed on the circumference of the reagent holding unit. A position at which the reagents can be continuously loaded from the reagent loading unit can be selected from accommodating positions in the reagent holding unit by setting the number (X) of held reagents and an offset number (Y) of the opening mechanism and the transferring mechanism to satisfy a relationship of X = nY + 1 (n is arbitrary). In addition, the opening operation and the transferring operation are performed during the same period so that unnecessary operations of the mechanisms can be suppressed by controlling the sequence such that opening of the reagent covers and transferring of the reagents can be continuously performed.
