A motor-powered opening/closing apparatus includes a circuit (Q1, R1, Q4) for detecting a constrained state of the motor (10) and deenergizing the motor (10), and a circuit (4, Q4) for detecting clamping of a foreign object between an edge of the window (2) or the door and a fixed frame (1) and stopping or reversing rotation of the motor (10). These circuits (Q1, R1,Q4,4) are independently arranged to detect clamping of the foreign object with high sensitivity while a closing force at the closed position can be kept large. The circuit (Q1, R1, Q4) for detecting a constrained state utilises motor current reversal noise to obtain a rapid response.

A process for manufacturing a thin film of high-T c superconducting oxide by means of chemical vapor deposition technique using vaporizing sources for the elements constituting the superconducting oxide and a carrier gas with oxygen, which process comprises depositing a layer of an oxide composition on a substrate under a chemical deposition condition of a temperature below 1,000°C and a reduced pressure from vaporizing sources for the elements including at least barium, yttrium and copper and subjecting the so deposited layer to epitaxial crystal growth to form an oxide thin film having a chemical composition of Ba₂YCu₃O 7-y , wherein said vaporizing sources consist each of an organic complex compound, such as β-diketone complex.

A method of producing fine particles with a particle size of submicron or finer which comprises the steps of:
forming closely fine projections on a substrate surface, preferably by sputter-etching using an ionized gas; and then sputtering metallic or non-metallic materials onto the thus treated substrate in an inert gas or a mixed gas of an inert gas and a reactive gas, such as oxygen, the gas pressure of the inert gas or the mixed gas being in the range of from 1×10 -4 torr to 1×10 -1 torr, and thereby depositing the purposed fine particles in crystalline or amorphous form. The invention method can successfully provide fine particles with desired properties, for example, in size, shape and structure, by adjusting producing conditions or selection of substrate materials and the thus obtained fine particles are very useful in various applications with or without the substrate.
