摘要: In an environment that includes a host computing system that executes virtual machines, and a secure cloud computing channel that communicatively couples the host to a client computing system that is assigned to a particular one of the virtual machines, the particular virtual machine generates a certificate, install the certificate on the itself, and returns a certificate representation to the client. This may occur when the virtual machine is provisioned. During a subsequent connection request from the client to the virtual machine, the virtual machine returns the certificate to the client. The client compares the certificate representation that was returned during provisioning with the certificate returned during the subsequent connection, and if there is a match, then the virtual machine is authenticated to the client. Thus, in this case, the virtual machine authenticates without the client having to generate, install, and manage security for a certificate.

摘要: Many hybrid cloud topologies require virtual machines in a public cloud to use a router in a private cloud, even when the virtual machine is transmitting to another virtual machine in the public cloud. Routing data through an enterprise router on the private cloud via the internet is generally inefficient. This problem can be overcome by placing a router within the public cloud that mirrors much of the routing functionality of the enterprise router. A switch configured to intercept address resolution protocol (ARP) request for the enterprise router's address and fabricate a response using the MAC address of the router in the public cloud.

摘要: Technologies for bootstrapping virtual network functions in a network functions virtualization (NFV) network architecture include a virtual network function (VNF) bootstrap service (VBS) in secure network communication with a VBS agent of a VNF instance. The VBS agent is configured to execute a secure VNF bootstrap capture protocol in the NFV network architecture. Accordingly, the VBS agent can be configured to register with the VBS via secure communications transmitted between the VBS and the VBS agent. The secure communications include transmitting a security quote from a TEE of a platform on which the VNF instance is instantiated and a security credential request to the VBS, as well as receiving a security credential in response to validating the security quote and the security credential request. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
