    摘要: A method, apparatus and system for feeding back early stop decoding are provided. The method includes: a terminal side adjusting encoded TFCI bits, and sending the adjusted TFCI bits to a NodeB side via a TFCI domain of an uplink DPCCH (S302); after sending the adjusted TFCI bits to the NodeB side, the terminal side performing a decoding operation on a downlink DPCH, and feeding back, via an idle TFCI domain of the uplink DPCCH, a decoding result to the NodeB side (304). By applying the technical solution, at least one of the problems in the related art that a NodeB cannot obtain a TFCI in time and a terminal side cannot feed back a downlink decoding result in time during early stop decoding can be solved. Without adding a new code channel, a TFCI domain of a DPCCH is fully used, and the transmitting power of a terminal is saved, and meanwhile, the number of times for the terminal and the NodeB to try early stop decoding is decreased, thus decoding resources are saved.

    摘要: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus begins to transmit a data packet and control information. Upon receiving an Ack of early decoding of the data packet prior to transmission of the entire data packet, the apparatus ceases transmission of the data packet, yet continues to transmit at least a portion of the control information. Transmission of the portion of the control information that is only needed to decode the data packet is ceased. Transmission of the residual portion of the control information ceases once its use ends. A receiving apparatus begins to receive the data packet and control information. After early decoding the packet, the apparatus transmits an Ack of early decoding and powers down a decoding module. Upon receiving a second Ack, the apparatus ceases to monitor the control information.

    摘要: Techniques to increase the capacity of a W-CDMA wireless communications system. In an exemplary embodiment, early termination of one or more transport channels on a W-CDMA wireless communications link is provided. In particular, early decoding is performed on slots as they are received over the air, and techniques are described for signaling acknowledgment messages (ACK's) for one or more transport channels correctly decoded to terminate the transmission of those transport channels. The techniques may be applied to the transmission of voice signals using the adaptive multi-rate (AMR) codec. Further exemplary embodiments describe aspects to reduce the transmission power and rate of power control commands sent over the air, as well as aspects for applying tail-biting convolutional codes in the system.
