摘要: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a mobility management method, user equipment, and a base station. The mobility management method may include: receiving, by user equipment UE in a connected mode, a source identifier of the UE from a first base station, where the source identifier is used to uniquely identify the UE in the first base station; entering, by the UE, a low-overhead state after a low-overhead activation condition is satisfied, where in the low-overhead state, the UE stores a connection context of the UE in the connected mode, and camps on a cell according to a cell reselection criterion during movement; and reporting, by the UE when a first preset condition is satisfied, the source identifier to a second base station to which a second cell belongs, where the second cell is a serving cell on which the UE currently camps. According to the present invention, the UE autonomously performs mobility based on cell reselection after the UE enters the low-overhead state, and reports only location change information of the UE, thereby simplifying a handover procedure and reducing communication resources of a network device

摘要: There is provided a mobile communication system that can prevent a situation in which, although there is no occasion to receive packets for a mobile station, the reception processing is continued and useless power is undesirably consumed. The mobile communication system includes a base station that repeats a transmission period and a transmission halt period with a constant control cycle, and mobile station that repeats a reception period and a reception halt period with a constant control cycle (antenna, duplexer, reception unit, user data separation unit, packet transmission determination unit, reception period determination unit, packet reception determination unit, and signal synthesis unit). The mobile station alternately repeats the reception period and reception halt period, sends the reception result to the base station, and starts the reception period according to the start of the transmission period of the base station to receive packets. In case all the packets cannot be correctly received during the reception period, the reception period is extended by a predetermined period in the control cycle. Furthermore, in case all the packets can be correctly received during the reception period, the mobile station transfers to the reception halt period to halt the reception.

The devices may send status information of their status to be used by the control device or the control system for forming the discovery control signal. The control device, e.g. a server, may form the discovery control signal based on this status information. Discovery of proximal devices may then be carried out based on the received discovery control signal.

摘要: The UE VoIP engine monitors the network pattern periodicity and implements a scalable scheduling strategy that can adapt the VoIP engine and audio driver scheduling to the current local radio configuration in one embodiment. By adapting its scheduling, the VoIP engine can reduce mouth-to-ear delay or power consumption without impacting the audio encoding quality. The UE VoIP engine sends some scheduling preference to the network base station. The network base station monitors UE preferences and decide whether to ignore or accept UE preferences and allows the UE to operate in the conditions that provides the best tradeoff between power consumption and mouth-to-ear delay.

摘要: Systems for power management of a fleet of devices through information storage sharing are described. According to one embodiment, each one of a group of networked devices offloads information to a substantially powered hub device before entering a low power consumption mode and receives the respective information back from the hub device upon wake. Another embodiment describes a system of networked devices in which each one of the networked devices offloads information to a selected networked device before entering a sleep mode and receives the respective information back from that selected networked device after entering a wake mode. Another embodiment describes a system whereby the original selected networked device then backups to a new selected networked device if the original selected networked device needs to enter a low power consumption mode, and the other networked devices receive the respective information back from the new selected networked device.
