A vibrating film (26) is arranged in parallel with the pole faces of the magnets (m18, m28, m38) on the upper surface side of the yoke (20), and spirally wound paired coils (L18, L28, L38) are arranged correspondingly to the magnets (m18, m28, m38) on the front and rear surfaces of the film (26). Each of paired coils (L18, L28, L38) is spirally wound so that the paired coil may have a similar figure to that of the outer edge of the pole face of the corresponding magnet (m18, m28, m38), and the inner periphery of the coil may be positioned on the outside of the pole face from the position corresponding to the outer edge of the pole face, and then, the outer peripheries of the coils may not overlap each other. Therefore, the paired coils (L18, L28, L38) are interlinked with magnetic fluxes in the direction along the vibrating film (26).

A loudspeaker comprising an enclosure 31 provided with a second diaphragm disposed at an opening, and at least one sound generator 40 coupled acoustically with the enclosure. The sound generator is provided with a first diaphragm 27, wherein the second diaphragm has an area greater than an area of the first diaphragm. In the present invention, shape of the enclosure, positioning and shape of the first and the second diaphragms can be designed at a designer's option. Thus a small-sized electronic apparatus can be obtained with a greater designing freedom, while a large-sized diaphragm prevents a decrease of generated sound pressure.

The sound producing regions comprise raised portions on the rear surface of the diaphragm which are symmetrical about both first and second orthogonal axes (x, y) for balance. Cross members (22) extend between opposite sides of the support frame (16) so as to overlay all of the sound producing regions to selectively mount separate electromagnetic drivers for coupling to each sound producing region, as well as to mount one or more anchors (70) extending from the cross members to the perimeters of the second and third sound producing regions in order to isolate them from the first sound producing region. The support frame is constructed from hollow rectangular channel frame members (74) which are joined together by L-shaped corner connectors (76).
