摘要: Powder (14) is filled in an axially elongate powder filling space (1) defined in a flexible pressure tube (25, 225, 245, 325, 525), and the pressure-bearing surface of the flexible pressure tube (25, 225, 245, 325, 525) is pressurized with a pressurizing fluid (7), from a wall portion of the pressure tube (25, 225, 245, 325, 525) which corresponds to a localized region of the powder filling space progressively toward another wall portion of the pressure tube (25, 225, 245, 325, 525) which corresponds to an end of the powder filling space (1), until the pressure-bearing surface of the pressure tube (25, 225, 245, 325, 525) is pressurized in its entirety, for thereby compacting the powder (14), in the powder filling space (1). Therefore, air in the powder (14) is progressively squeezed toward the end of the powder filling space (1) where the air can be discharged out. No air thus remains trapped in the powder (14), and a formed product is prevented from being damaged, which enables to produce elongate products.

摘要: In order to form a rugged surface of wall or the like, a molding frame whose top surface is covered with a covering material is stuck to an area to be processed, and after the spraying or trowelling material is applied to form the protruding parts, the covering material is peeled off together with such material having been laid over the covering material, and later at a time when the protrusion forming material dries up and becomes solidified, the forming frame is removed to obtain a rugged surface. On the original surface to be processed the recession parts are formed exactly after the molding pattern, and the protrusion parts of distinctively sharp apex lines are formed, being provided with good contrast with other parts.
Covering the top of the deep and soft molding frame, for instance made of foamed polyethylene, and with a peeling layer adhered on the bottom, thus the molding frame is provided with triple structures. Reinforcing the bottom surface of the molding frame with a plastic film or holding the plate-like bodies for leaving them to construct the surface of recession parts after the molding frame is removed will do as a corollary to the original concept of the molding frame.

摘要: An apparatus and method for cold retreading or recapping of the running surface of a vehicle tire. A rubber, rope and cloth mold larger in diameter than the recap tires produced in it is produced utilizing a new tire male mold (22) covered with perforated polypropylene film (19), uncured rubber (12A) with nylon rope (23) at its edges and highly stretchable cloth (16) enclosed in an envelope (24) and cured by application of pressure and heat. A larger male mold is used to make the final female mold directly, or a like-size male mold is used to make an intermediate mold which is used to produce a tread ring (34B) that is stretched to form a larger diameter male mold from which a final mold (46) is prepared. The somewhat flexible, compressible final female mold (46) thus produced is then utilized in recapping tires by positioning it around a prepared tire carcass (48) coated with cement (52), a layer of uncured rubber (50A), and a sheet of perforated polypropylene film (54). The mold and tire assembly is then enclosed in an envelope (24) and placed in a chamber where curing of the rubber layer is accomplished by inflation of the tire carcass, evacuation of the envelope, pressurization of the chamber and application of heat.

摘要: An apparatus for continuous vacuum forming a material having a flexible patterned belt (14) continuously rotatable with a flat support belt (16) over a vacuum manifold (24). The flexible patterned belt (14) includes apertures (34) therein and the support belt (16) includes perforations (46) therein for drawing air therethrough. The material is drawn onto the flexible patterned belt (14) for vacuum forming the material. The flat support belt (16) provides improved stability of the flexible patterned belt (14) and improved vacuum characteristics between the belts.
