摘要: A fluid damper assembly for use in a vehicle includes a piston subassembly which includes a plurality of inflow passages and at least one rebound disk for restricting flow of hydraulic fluid through the inflow passages. A rod extends through the piston subassembly to actuate the piston subassembly between a rebound stroke and a compression stroke. An actuator supported by and within the rod includes a piezoelectric device and an amplifier for adjusting the damping force during the rebound stroke, thereby adjusting the suspension of the vehicle. A shaft within the rod is connected to a retainer to transmit motion from the amplifier to compress a spring and disengage the retainer from the rebound disk to allow the rebound disk to flex solely in response to hydraulic fluid pressure from the rebound stroke to open the inflow passages and reduce the damping force during the rebound stroke.

The valve actuator assembly is connected to the spool. The first chamber is in fluid communication with the second chamber through the at least one opening. The spool is configured to be movable over at least a portion of the at least one opening to regulate fluid flow therethrough.

摘要: An object of the present invention Is to generate a stable damping force and enhance durability of a main valve in a hydraulic shock absorber in which valve opening of the main valve is controlled by an inner pressure of a backpressure chamber. A first piston 3 and a second piston 4 coupled to a piston rod 10 are fitted in a cylinder 2 such that a piston chamber 2C is defined between the first and second pistons 3,4. An extension-side main valve 18 and a compression-side main valve 23 are provided in the piston chamber 2C. Valve opening of the main valves is controlled by an extension-side backpressure chamber 19 and a compression-side backpressure chamber 24. A compression-side check valve 13 and an extension-side check valve 16 are provided at the first piston 3 and the second piston 4. During an extension stroke of the piston rod 10, the compression-side check valve 13 is closed, whereby action of a pressure of a cylinder upper chamber 2A on the compression-side main valve 23 is prevented. During a compression stroke of the piston rod 10, the extension-side check valve 16 is closed, whereby action of a pressure of a cylinder lower chamber 2B on the extension-side main valve 18 is prevented. Accordingly, it is possible to generate a stable damping force, and enhance durability of the extension-side main valve 18 and the compression-side main valve 23.

摘要: A damper system for a vehicle includes a shock absorber and a damper module. The shock absorber includes a plurality of digital valves. The shock absorber is operable at one of multiple damping states based on a valve state of the digital valves. The damper module is coupled to each of the digital valves and controls each of the digital valves to a desired state based on a damper setting. The damper module determines a target damping state, where the target state is one of the multiple damping states. The damper module performs a switch operation to control the valve state of the plurality of digital valves to a given desired state when the target damping state is different from a present damping state.
