摘要: Concepts of distributed solar energy prediction imaging are described. In one embodiment, a solar forecast system includes a computing environment, a network, and an imaging device. Among other elements, the imaging device can include a wide-angle optical component, an imaging assembly, and a computing device. The computing device of the imaging device can capture an array of images using the imaging assembly, combine the array of images into a combined-resolution image, transform the combined-resolution image into a transformed image based on a calibration transformation matrix associated with the wide-angle optical component, identify and track cloud features in the transformed image, and generate a solar forecast using ray tracing based on the cloud features. The imaging device can also transmit the solar forecast to the computing environment via the network, and the computing environment can fuse solar forecast data from several imaging device into a distributed geographic area forecast.

摘要: A hybrid vehicle control apparatus is provided with an engine, an electric motor, a holding element, an automatic transmission, a range position detecting device and a controller. The holding element is arranged between the engine and the electric motor to selectively connect and disconnect the engine and the electric motor to and from each other. The automatic transmission is arranged between the electric motor and a drive wheel. The range position detecting device detects a range position of the automatic transmission selected by a driver. The controller executes a control operation serving to stop the engine while also executing a slip control serving to lower a torque transfer capacity of the holding element upon a determination that a request to stop the engine has occurred while the engine is operating, the holding element is engaged, and the automatic transmission is detected in a non-driving range.

The method includes receiving a fluid flow model comprising a representation of one or more conduits and a multiphase fluid flow therein, and determining a slug birth rate in the multiphase fluid flow. The slug birth rate is determined based at least partially on a difference between a slug front velocity and a slug tail velocity. The method also includes initiating a slug in the fluid flow model based at least partially on the slug birth rate, and displaying data representative of the slug flow in the model.

摘要: A method for performing a simulation of a field having a subterranean formation is described. The method includes obtaining phase behavior data of subterranean fluids of the field, generating an equation of state (EOS) model of the fluids based on the phase behavior data, generating a Helmholtz free energy model that reproduces predictions of the EOS model over a pre-determined pressure and temperature range, and performing the simulation of the field using the Helmholtz free energy model. The method may further include reducing the EOS model to a reduced EOS model having a reduced number of components to represent the EOS model over a pre-determined pressure and temperature range, generating the Helmholtz free energy model based on the reduced EOS model, and obtaining and using phase behavior data of injection fluids used. 摘要: A flight management system for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), in which the UAV is equipped for cellular fourth generation (4G) flight control. The UAV carries on-board a 4G modem, an antenna connected to the modem for providing for downlink wireless RF. A computer is connected to the modem. A 4G infrastructure to support sending via uplink and receiving via downlink from and to the UAV. The infrastructure further includes 4G base stations capable of communicating with the UAV along its flight path. An antenna in the base station is capable of supporting a downlink to the UAV. A control centre accepts navigation related data from the uplink. In addition, the control centre further includes a connection to the 4G infrastructure for obtaining downlinked data. A computer for calculating location of the UAV using navigation data from the downlink.

摘要: There is provided a system for predicting loading of a landing gear (100) including, a plurality sensors (215,505) positioned proximate to the landing gear (100). The plurality of sensors measure strain applied to the landing gear, and each sensor yielding strain data. The system further includes a processor that receives the strain data from the plurality of sensors (215,505) and predicts at least one ground load based on strain data. There is further provided a method for predicting loading of a landing gear. The method includes powering a plurality of sensors located proximate to a landing gear structure, interrogating the plurality of sensors via data acquisition circuitry to yield strain data, instructing the data acquisition circuitry as to a sampling rate and data resolution to be used for the interrogating, and, finally, processing the strain data to predict a ground load.

One such method includes determining a stress for the cement body within the wellbore by simulating hydration of the cement body using cementing operation parameters and wellbore conditions. The hydration simulation includes calculating pore pressure for the cement body and accounting for changes in pore pressure associated with chemical shrinkage of the cement body. The method further includes designing a cementing operation using the stress for the cement body and the cementing operation parameters.

摘要: System and methods of modeling fluids in a simulation of fluid production in a multi-reservoir system with a common surface network are provided. Pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) data is determined for fluids in each of a plurality of reservoirs coupled to the common surface network. A shared equation of state (EOS) characterization representing each of the fluids across the plurality of reservoirs is generated based on the corresponding PVT data. Data representing properties of the fluids in each reservoir is calculated based on the shared EOS characterization of the fluids. When the calculated data is determined not to match the PVT data associated with the fluids in each reservoir, to the shared EOS characterization is adjusted based on a difference between the calculated data and the PVT data.
