A method for determining absolute orientation of a platform is disclosed. In one embodiment, a first sky polarization data set for a first time Ti is measured using a sky polarization sensor disposed on a platform. A second sky polarization data set is obtained at a second time Tj. A difference in orientation between the first sky polarization data set and the second sky polarization data set is determined using an orientation determiner. The difference in orientation is provided as at least one orientation parameter for the platform at time Tj. The at least one orientation parameter is used to provide a direction relative to a reference point on the platform.

Bei einer Einrichtung zur elektronischen Ermittlung des wegspezifischen Kraftstoffverbrauchs eines Fahrzeugs, insbesondere eines Kraftfahrzeugs, aus Volumenimpulsen, deren Pulsfrequenz dem Kraftstoffdurchfluß entspricht, und einer elektrischen Größe analog der Geschwindigkeit des Fahrzeugs, ist ein elektronischer Analog-Dividierer zur Quotientenbildung aus der Pulsfrequenz als Zähler und der geschwindungkeitsanalogen Größe als Nenner vorhanden, der einen Kondensator (1) enthält, der mit einem der Geschwindigkeit analogen Strom aufladbar ist und durch einen elektronischen, durch die Volumenimpulse gesteuerten Schalter (2) entladbar ist, daß ein Eingang einen Hystereseschalter (3), dessen einer Eingang mit der Kondensatorspannung beaufschlagbar ist, dessen Ausgang mit einer Anzeigeeinrichtung (Drehspulinstrument 17) in Verbindung steht und der ebenfalls durch die Volumenimpulse derart steuerbar ist, daß nach jedem Volumenimpuls jeder Ausgangsimpuls (Ausgangspuls U a ) des Hysteresisschalters einen vorgegebenen Wert annimmt (Low-Signal), so daß das Tastverhältnis des Ausgangspulses bis zu dem Tastverhältnis 1 dem Quotienten proportional ist. Hierdurch wird eine wenig aufwendige und dennoch genau arbeitende Kraftstoffverbrauchsmeßeinrichtung geschaffen (Fig. 1).
