    摘要: The invention concerns a method of producing a conductive silicon carbide-based sintered compact in which: (a) silicon carbide particles optionally pretreated with a surface-modifying agent are dispersed in an aqueous and/or organic medium and positive or negative surface charges are generated on the silicon carbide particles by adjusting the pH of the resultant dispersion; (b) carbon black and boron carbide are added as sintering additives, at least the carbon black particles having an opposite surface charge to the surface charge of the silicon carbide particles, and it also being possible to add all or some of the boron carbide at a later point (stage (c')); (c) the resultant slip is shaped directly to form a green compact; or (c') a sintering powder is obtained from the resultant slip and is shaped to form a green compact, it also being possible to add the above boron carbide to this sintering powder; and (d) the resultant green compact is sintered without pressure to form a sintered body. The invention is characterized in that stage (d) is carried out in substantially three successive steps, namely (i) preheating to between 1200 and 1900 DEG C, (ii) sintering at between 1900 and 2200 DEG C and (iii) reannealing at between 2150 and 1850 DEG C and then cooling to ambient temperature, and step (i) being carried out in a nitrogenous atmosphere, step (ii) being carried out in a rare gas atmosphere and step (iii) being carried out in a nitrogenous and/or carbon monoxide-containing atmosphere.

    摘要: A toner container for replenishing toner stored therein to a developing section included in an image forming apparatus includes a body formed with a spiral groove in its inner periphery and coaxially rotatably supported by a replenishing portion via a seal member. The replenishing portion has a toner outlet in its circumferential wall that is selectively blocked or unblocked. While the body is in rotation, the spiral groove conveys toner toward the replenishing portion with the result that the toner is replenished to the developing section via the toner outlet.
