Abstract: A method for data loading with a tablet includes receiving one or more software updates published by a ground station and storing the software updates on the tablet. The method also includes establishing communications between the tablet and a tablet interface module of an aircraft and determining if software on the aircraft needs to be updated. Based on determining that the software on the aircraft needs to be updated, the method includes transmitting at least one of the one or more software updates to the tablet interface module for loading into the aircraft and monitoring an installation process of the software updates in the aircraft via the tablet interface module.

Abstract: A pressure and temperature probe includes a probe head (52), a probe tip (54) extending from the probe head (52) and ending with a sensor face (56), a pressure channel (62) extending into the probe tip (54) through the sensor face (56), and a temperature channel (64) extending into the probe tip (54) through the sensor face (56). A pressure sensor (58) is in fluid communication with a pressure channel (62) and a temperature sensor (60) in fluid communication with the temperature channel (64). The temperature channel (64) extends parallel to the pressure channel (62), and the temperature channel (64) is fluidly separate from the pressure channel (62). The sensor face (56) can be configured to minimally intrude the flowpath of a working fluid, thereby minimizing disruption of the flowpath. The probe can be configured on a gas turbine engine (10).

Abstract: An inertial measurement unit (IMU) includes an inertial sensor assembly including a plurality of accelerometers and a plurality of rate gyroscopes, an inertial sensor compensation and correction module, and a Kalman estimator module. The inertial sensor compensation and correction module is configured to apply a set of error compensation values to sensed acceleration and rotational rate to produce a compensated acceleration and a compensated rotational rate of the IMU. The Kalman estimator module is configured to determine a set of error correction values based on a difference between a change in integrated acceleration of the IMU and a change in true airspeed of the IMU. The inertial sensor compensation and correction module is further configured to apply the set of error correction values to each of the compensated acceleration and the compensated rotational rate to output an error-corrected acceleration and an error-corrected rotation rate.

Abstract: A set of aircraft air data parameter outputs is generated based on laser sensor data and inertial sensor data. Directional light is emitted in one or more directions into air about an exterior of an aircraft, and returns of the emitted directional light in the one or more directions is sensed. Laser sensor data representing velocity of the aircraft in the one or more directions, static pressure of the air, and static air temperature of the air is generated based on the sensed returns. Acceleration and rotational rate of the aircraft is sensed in three axes. The set of aircraft air data parameter outputs is generated based on the laser sensor data and the inertial sensor data. The set of aircraft air data parameter outputs includes aircraft static air pressure, aircraft static air temperature, aircraft true airspeed, aircraft angle of attack, and aircraft angle of sideslip.

Symbols (40) identifying the dynamic objects (34, 36) within the region of the airport taxiway are mapped into the rendered image data at the locations indicated by the provided data. The rendered image data is sent to a display device configured to display the rendered image data.
