    摘要: A filter element for an air filter assembly of an engine including a breather conduit and an intake conduit, comprising filter media having a closed loop, the filter media having a top and bottom; a first wall provided on the top of the filter media, the first wall having no openings; and a second wall provided on the bottom of the filter media, the second wall having two separate openings; wherein the filter media, the first wall, and the second wall define an interior chamber of the filter element, and wherein the two openings connect to the interior chamber such that air filtered by the filter media mixes with unfiltered gases provided through a first of the two openings by the breather conduit prior to exiting the interior chamber through a second of the two openings into the intake conduit.

    摘要: A system for collecting matter provides a low energy, low cost and nearly zero pollutant process for extracting suspended and/or dissolved matter in a medium. The system collects the matter on a material which is deployed into the medium, and the matter is extracted off the material. If the extracted matter is algae, then it can be processed into end user commercial products such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, biofuels, food products, crop fertilizer, animal feed and polymers. If the extracted matter is oil or bitumen, then it can be recovered at oil spills or in tar sands. If the medium is infected with a harmful algae bloom of cyanobacteria, then the system could not only harvest the algae for processing but also cut off a food source of remaining algae by additionally extracting suspended silt. This invention collects matter in an economically and environmentally viable manner.

    摘要: The present invention provides a multi-functional nonwoven fabric for filter that has excellent properties to adsorb various toxic/harmful substances such as odorous substances, VOCs, allergens, and pathogenic viruses, has antibacterial/antimold properties, and suppresses pressure loss to a minimal level, and the present invention also provides a method that can produce such a nonwoven fabric in a simple manner. Due to the simple steps of immersing the nonwoven fabric in an aqueous polypeptide solution and further treating it with a metal salt, it is possible to obtain a nonwoven fabric for filter having excellent adsorption properties in which the fiber surface of the nonwoven fabric is coated with insolubilized polypeptide that has been crosslinked with a metal. Also, a method that can produce such a filter in a simple manner was found.
