Les signaux codés d'identification sont lus par un récepteur (14) pour identifier l'objet. L'émetteur et le récepteur ont un multiplexage temporel (16, 30 et 32) pour fonctionner de manière alternée. En conséquence, lorsqu'un objet doit être identifié, l'émetteur (2) est mis en marche pour émettre les signaux en rafale activant ainsi le transpondeur (8) pour produire les signaux codés d'identification. L'émetteur (2) est ensuite arrêté et le récepteur (14) est mis en marche pour recevoir les signaux d'identification permettant d'identifier l'objet. Le fonctionnement marche/arrêt s'effectue 20000 fois par seconde.

A method for forming a structure for a radio frequency identification device includes dispensing a photosensitive compound 302 onto a substrate 304. Subsequently, first portions of the photosensitive compound are exposed to a light pattern 404 from a light source 308, while second portions of the photosensitive compound remain unexposed to the light source. Exposing the photosensitive compound to light reduces the photosensitive compound to a metal layer 402. The unexposed second portions of the photosensitive compound may be rinsed away to leave the metal layer. Processing may continue to form an RFID circuit from the metal layer, and a completed RFID transponder comprising the RFID circuit.

The hybrid security system includes a pedestal embedded with an EAS antenna and a RFID antenna; and a RFID reader, wherein the pedestal is configured to sense the AM tag of the combination tag and trigger the RFID reader to read the RFID tag of the combination tag when presence of the AM tag is sensed. A security tag is also disclosed, including an enclosure having a PP top housing and a PP bottom housing; an AM tag housed in the enclosure; and a lock mechanism securing the security tag onto a person's wristband; wherein the security tag has a color characteristic for identification of persons.

A system is provided for wirelessly locating objects. The system has a transceiver unit with an antenna array of two partially overlapping coils, which is used in combination with a passive electromagnetic reflector to track or locate the objects. The system is tuned to reflect and receive higher order harmonics of a transmitted signal frequency. The system is reliable in a highly reflective environment with no placement error detection due to reflections. A relatively large distance can be bridged with a minimum power and a small sensitive area to detect the coils, which increase the accuracy to determine the location of the electromagnetic reflector.
