The square rams (1) are composed of a square plate (a) and the sphere (b) with the pressure imposition surface being a plane or a curved surface. The curved surface forming device can eliminate the crumpling and deformation generated in the board punching, reduce dents and improve processing quality.

The invention relates to a method and a tool for producing structural parts from sheet metal which have a vault-structured reinforcement zone (4) and adjacent, flat connecting zones (8, 9). Starting material for producing said structural parts are vault-structured blanks (1) that are smoothed during shaping in the area of the connecting zones (8, 9) while the vault-structured structure remains unchanged in the area of the reinforcement zone (4). According to the invention, the structural parts are produced using an embossing die (14) that comprises a matrix (16) and a two-part die (15) which consists of a fixing die (26) and a shaping die (27). The blank is first fixed in the area of the vault-structured reinforcement zone (4) vis-à-vis the fixing die (26) by a fixing element (18) that advances the matrix (16). The connecting zones (8, 9) are then drawn between the matrix (16) and the shaping die (27).
