Cam means (8, 27) are provided for controlling slant of the platform (3), during the final phase of its displacement towards the extracted position, from a position parallel to said floor (P) to a position which is slanted downwards, where the front edge (11) of the platform (3) rests on the ground (G), and the return of the platform (3) to said position in which it is parallel to the floor (P) during the initial phase of its displacement towards said retracted position, by effect respectively of raising and lowering the rear side (19) of said platform (3) operated by said cam means (8, 27).

    摘要： A seat for a disabled driver or passenger at the door of an automotive vehicle, the door moving between closed and open positions at a doorway through which the seat is accessible. The seat comprises a seat cushion including a stationary cushion component (30) remote from the doorway and a lift cushion component (32) adjacent to the doorway, the lift cushion component being constrained for movement in a path between a retracted position and an extended position. The lift cushion component (32), when in extended position, is located upwardly of its retracted position. The lift cushion component (32) is controlled by an operational system that includes a manual actuator (62, 64) for maintaining movement between the retracted position and the extended position when under constant manual control. The actuator (62, 64) is accessible to constant manual control at the window sill of a front door of the automotive vehicle.

    摘要： A slewing mechanism which is particularly suitable for use with a car seat for the physically disabled which permits a combined translational and rotational movement of a plate (6) or the like on which, say, a seat assembly (100) may be mounted. The mechanism comprises a primary arm (1) pivotably connected by a pivot (2) to a support surface and pivotably connected by a pivot (5) to a secondary arm (4) which is pivotably connected to plate (6) by a pivot (7). A first link (8) is pivotably connected by a pivot (81) to the support surface and by a pivot (82) to the secondary arm (4). A second link (9) is pivotably connected by a pivot (91) to the plate (6) and by a pivot (92) to the primary arm (1). The arrangement is such that when the primary arm (1) is pivoted about the pivot (2), the plate (6) is laterally displaced and rotated from its initial position. A lock mechanism is provided to lock the slewing mechanism in a number of positions.
