摘要: The invention concerns sheet buffering means for placement between paper handling equipment, such as a printer or a paper picker, and paper finishing equipment, for example, equipment for stapling and/or folding, which comprises at least a set of a front pair of rollers with rotating rollers for feeding of a sheet between the rollers and a rear pair of rollers with rotating rollers for feeding of a sheet between the rollers. At least one roller in each pair is driven by a common motor or a motor each, the front driven roller is disengageable by means of a clutch for holding a lead end of a sheet at the same time as the rear driven roller is driven so that the sheet becomes bent between the two pairs of rollers. The rear pair of rollers is stopped when the trail end of the sheet reaches the rear pair of rollers, whereby the sheet may sustain bent until it is desirable to feed it out, which is achieved by starting both of the pairs of rollers. The invention also concerns a method of buffering sheets.

摘要: The invention relates to a transport device (10) for sheets, which enables a branch in the transport path to be simply created without the risk of malfunction. To achieve this, the inventive transport device (10) comprises a first transport belt unit (15) and a second transport belt unit (5), the second transport belt unit (5) being positioned transversely to the first transport belt unit (15). A respective transport path for valuable bills or bank notes is configured between the belts of the first transport belt unit (15) and the second transport belt unit (15). At the end of the transport path, the leading edge of a sheet, which is transported along the transport path of the first belt transport unit (15), hits the upper transverse belt of the second belt transport unit (5) and said sheet is deviated by the belt in such a way that it is then transported along the transport path of the second transport belt unit (5). The sheet can be directed into the left-hand or right-hand section (33, 39) of the second belt transport unit (5), depending on the rotational direction of the rollers that guide and drive the belts, thus permitting a routing function that does not necessitate separate drives or control elements. In addition, a stack of sheets can be formed in the transport path of the second belt transport unit (5) by controlling the rotational direction of the rollers.

摘要: A folder (10) operable to cut a printed web received from a printing press. The folder includes a cutting section (30) having cutting cylinders (34) that cut the web into individual printed products, and a cutting motor (M2) that is operable to drive the cutting cylinders (34). A delivery assembly of the folder includes delivery belts (38;42) that are operable to guide the individual printed products through the folder, and at least one delivery motor (M3;M4) is operable to drive the delivery belts (38,42). The folder also includes a diverting assembly (66) that diverts individual printed products to one of a plurality of collation paths, and a diverting motor (M5) that is operable to drive the diverting assembly (66). The cutting motor (M2), the delivery motor (M3;M4), and the diverting (M5) motor are operable independently of one another.

摘要: An accumulator device with a downward angled input transport (42). Downstream, an accumulating receptacle (44,47) receives sheets. The accumulating receptacle has an upper guide (47) and a lower guide (44) forming a horizontal accumulating channel. Dump rollers (43) act as a stop during sheet accumulation, and as a transport for removing completed accumulations from the sheet accumulating device. A rear portion of sheets (1) buckle downward into a trap arrangement (45) below the input rollers (41). Preferably, the upper guide of the accumulating channel comprises a continuously rotating belt (47) to urge accumulating sheets against the dump rollers (43). Also, a positive air device (49) may be used to assist in the buckling of the rear portion of the sheets. To assist in handling large collations, when a sheet arrives at the dump rollers (43) they advance by a small predetermined incremental displacement slightly shingling the sheets (1) to maintain positive control for later reliable discharge.
