    摘要: A brake drum encapulsator (18) includes a wire frame (33) in a generally cylindrical shape with a cover (34) surrounding the frame (33) and having a closed end (44) and an open end. The brake drum assembly is received in the open end of the cover (34) which is then closed about the brake drum and evacuated. The cover (34) is made of a material which is light weight, flexible, transparent and gas impermeable to give the operator full visibility to the interior. The cover (34) has a pair of gloves (45, 46) integrally formed in it to permit the operator to have access to the interior. A hand-operated air gun (49, 50) for cleaning the brake drums is also attached to the closed end (44) of the cover (34), which preferably has a frustoconical portion which allows the operator to move his hands and the air gun back and forth as well as laterally within the encapsulator for servicing the brake drum.

Also described are methods for removal of hazardous material from an object and methods for isolating an animal having an infectious and/or contagious disease using the enclosures (1).

    摘要: The present invention relates to an automated sensor calibration system and method for calibrating a gas sensor in-situ in a controlled atmosphere workstation. The system comprises a control means for automatically controlling the calibration system; an enclosure means movable between a first position and a second position; and a drive mechanism, operable by the control means, for moving the enclosure means between the first position and the second position. In the first position, the enclosure means is arranged in a spaced relationship from the sensor such that a sensing head of the sensor is exposed to the controlled atmosphere of the workstation. In the second position, the enclosure means is arranged in engagement with at least one surface so as to define a calibration chamber and enclose the sensing head in the calibration chamber.
