A process is provided for coating a substrate by applying to a substrate an aqueous coating composition that comprises (a) an aqueous dispersion of a film forming polymer having a minimum film forming temperature not higher than 45 DEG C.; (b) a solid, particulate polymer having a softening temperature in the range of 45 DEG to 260 DEG C. and an average particle size in the range of 2 to 400 mu m and (c) a solid, rubberlike polymer having an average particule size in the range of 1 to 500 mu m, the resulting coating being cured at a temperature of 70 DEG -260 DEG C. The invention also relates to the liquid aqueous coating composition to be used in said process.

Thermoplastic adhesive compositions which comprise (a) a thermoplastic polymer, (b) an organic polymer having a plurality of functional groups available for crosslinking and (c) a crosslinking agent capable of reacting with (b). These adhesive compositions are heat activatable at low temperatures and exhibit delayed tack and improved temperature resistance. These adhesive compositions may be conveniently applied to substrates as solutions in volatile organic solvents and are particularly suitable for employment in bonding operations involving insulative materials such as thermal insulation and sound deadening insulation.

To provide a temperature indicator manufacturing system and a temperature indicator manufacturing method that reduce the labor and cost of management associated with temperature indicator manufacture. The temperature indicator manufacturing system includes: a marking device 12 that marks a base material with a temperature detecting material containing a matrix material and a temperature indicating material including at least a leuco dye, a color developer, and a decolorant; and an adhesive application device 13 that applies an adhesive onto the temperature detecting material provided as marking on the base material, wherein the adhesive is applied in a state where the temperature detecting material provided as the marking on the base material is solidified, and solidified before the temperature detecting material provided as the marking on the base material is liquefied.

An object of the present invention is to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition whose adhesive force is sufficiently reduced by applying a voltage even after storage in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment. The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a first polymer as a base polymer and an ionic liquid and further containing a second polymer having a glass transition temperature Tg of 40°C to 180°C.

Disclosed is a composition for non-aqueous secondary battery adhesive layer which comprises organic particles and a binder, wherein the organic particles comprise molecules having a weight-average molecular weight of 100 to 10,000, and a weight fraction of the molecules in the organic particles is 1% to 40%. Also disclosed is a non-aqueous secondary battery adhesive layer prepared by using the composition. Further disclosed is a non-aqueous secondary battery which comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and an electrolysis solution, wherein at least one of the positive electrode, the negative electrode and the separator comprises the non-aqueous secondary battery adhesive layer.
