    摘要: Energy-efficient apparatus for blow moulding articles from thermoplastic material includes a mould 2 defining a mould cavity 3 for receiving a heated thermoplastic parison 4. An air duct 9 connects the mould to a low pressure accumulator 10 containing air at a first moulding pressure for use in a first blowing stage, at least one intermediate accumulator 20, 30, containing air at intermediate pressures for use in intermediate blowing stages, and a high pressure accumulator 40 containing air at a final moulding pressure for use in a final blowing stage. The capacity of each of the accumulators is about ten times greater than the volume of the mould cavity. Valves 11-41 selectively control communication between each of the accumulators and the mould cavity 3 to admit air from each of the accumulators to the mould cavity in sequence during a blowing phase, and thereby expand the parison in a stepwise manner. During a recovery phase, the valves sequentially admit pressurised air from the mould cavity to the intermediate and low pressure accumulators 30-10 in turn to restore the accumulator pressures for the next moulding cycle.

    摘要: Apparatus for blow moulding hollow plastic bodies from plastic preforms, or parisons, which is adapted to detect bursts occurring in plastic bottles. To this purpose, the apparatus itself comprises a differential pressure transducer arrangement (10, 11), a low-pressure gas supply source (103) along with a related first supply channel (101), a high-pressure gas supply source along with a related second supply channel (105). The differential pressure transducer arrangement is made up by one or more tubes (3, 4) arranged crosswise in the second supply channel; these tubes contain respective separate chambers opening (5, 6) into the interior of said second supply channel (Pitot tubes). Two sensors (7, 8) adapted to detect respective pressures are connected in a distinct manner to said respective chambers. Any possible pressure variation at pre-determined moments during the blow-moulding cycle is processed and compared, and the result is an indication of whether a serious irregularity, such as a burst or a silent gas leakage, took place during the blow-moulding process of a given bottle.

The radial expansion is carried out in at least two phases, viz. a first phase during which the tube blank (Te) is inflated to an intermediate diameter (Di) determined by a double-walled envelope (21), introduced into the forming shaft (2), with circulation of a hot fluid between the two walls of the envelope (21), and then the envelope is gradually removed from the forming shaft (2) to enable, during a second phase, the radial expansion of the plastic tube up to an internal diameter of the forming shaft (2), and its longitudinal drawing.
