Alkaline cleaning and sanitizing compositions which are essentially free of chelating agents based on organic acid compound, especially nitrogen containing chelating agents, which composition is particularly directed for the effective removal of soap scum stains on hard surfaces. The compositions of the present invention are particularly adapted to be used as a 'ready-to-use' type composition, as well as in a non-pressurized container which is supplied with a hand pumpable trigger spray apparatus. The present invention is also directed to the use of such a composition in the cleaning or sanitization of a hard surface, as well as methods for producing such compositions.

A foamy composition for bleaching an article of clothing which comprises a liquid composition containing (a) hydrogen peroxide, (b) a specific saccharide derivative based surfactant, (c) a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether having an alkyl group of 10 to 14 carbon atoms and an average added oxyalkylene mole number of 7 to 12, and (d) water in a specific ratio; and a method for bleaching an article of clothing which comprises contacting the article of clothing with a foam formed from the above liquid composition. The use of the liquid composition in the form of a foam exhibits excellent bleaching effect.

The invention relates to novel, highly concentrated, free-flowing pearly lustre concentrates containing (a) between 30 and 50 wt. % of pearly lustre waxes, (b) less than 25 wt. % of emulsifiers from the group of non-ionic emulsifiers and optionally from the group of zwitterionic emulsifiers, and (c) between 0.1 and 5 wt. % of polyol esters, with the proviso that said quantities are completed with water and optionally other auxiliary and addition agents up to 100 wt. %, that the sum of the constituents (a), (b) and (c) amounts to at least 55 wt. %, and that the proportion of non-ionic emulsifiers to polyol esters is between 5: 1 and 10: 1.
