A process for providing a durable and tenaciously adhered scratch, mar, abrasion, and chemical solvent resistant colloidal silica filled organopolysiloxane coating on a polycarbonate substrate. The process includes (i) applying a priming composition comprised of an emulsion of a thermosettable acrylic polymer and a hydroxy ether to a polycarbonate substrate; (ii) curing the thermosettable acrylic polymer thereby forming a primer layer on said substrate; (iii) applying onto the primed substrate a top coat composition containing a colloidal silica filled further curable organopolysiloxane; and, (iv) curing the silica filled organopolysiloxane.

Verfahren zur Beschichtung von Metallrohren durch Aufbringen von Polyäthylen auf vorgewärmte Rohre, wobei man zunächst ein Polyäthylen mit einem Schmelzindex von über 1 g/10 min auf ein erwärmtes Metallrohr aufbringt und darauf ein Polyäthylen mit niedrigem Schmelzindex aufbringt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man zuerst ein Polyäthylen mit einem Schmelzindex von 1,2 bis 70 g/10 min (190°C/2,16 kg) auf das Metallrohr, das eine Temperatur von mindestens 200°C hat, aufbringt, darauf den Überzug auf eine Temperatur von etwa 110 bis 170°C abkühlen läßt und daß man darauf in dritter Stufe einen freitragenden Film von Polyäthylen mit einem Schmelzindex von 0,1 bis 7 g/10 min bei dieser Temperatur aufbringt, so daß der Gesamtüberzug eine Mindestschichtdicke zwischen 1,5 und 4 mm hat und Verwendung der nach dem Verfahren erhaltenen Rohre in Rohrleitungen.

The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a method for forming an in-mold coating multi-layer coating film, the method having a low environmental load and making it possible to form an in-mold coating multi-layer coating film having excellent interlayer adhesion between a first in-mold coating film and a second in-mold coating film. This method for forming an in-mold coating multi-layer coating film is configured as follows. The method for forming an in-mold coating multi-layer coating film includes: a step in which a specific first in-mold coating material composition (X) is injected between a molded base material and the inner wall of a first coating mold for a coating film, and an uncured first in-mold coating film is formed; a step in which the uncured first in-mold coating film is heated and cured; a step in which the first coating mold for a coating film is separated from the cured first in-mold coating film surface; a step in which a gap is provided between the cured first in-mold coating film surface and a second coating mold for a coating film; a step in which a specific second in-mold coating material composition (Y) is injected between the cured first in-mold coating film surface and the inner wall of the second coating mold for a coating film; and an uncured second in-mold coating film is formed; and a step in which the uncured second in-mold coating film is heated and cured.
